There’s no isolation between the diamonds, so light bleeds from each to its neighbours. The LEDs update at 16Hz, meaning you can play 16fps animations on the matrix. The AniMe Matrix can be controlled via ASUS’ Armoury Crate software. This software includes some tools for importing and tweaking content to be displayed on the matrix.
Well, it’s true that there is a lot of anime mentioned in this post, but that’s not where the title comes from. “AniMe Matrix” is ASUS’ name for the programmable LED matrix display on the rear of the lid of certain Zephyrus G14 models.
The height of the regular is only 1.79cm whereas the AniMe Matrix version is 1.99cm. Perhaps you can check the retailer if they include weight and dimensions into the specs.
If you load in a 1920x1080 image, each pixel on the AniMe Matrix corresponds with a 30x30 area in the image. If you import a 1280x720 image the pixels are based on 20x20 areas, and if you import a 64x36 image then the pixels map 1:1.
You can check the label on the giftbox. If it shows as [Eclipse Grey with AniMe Matrix] or [Moonlight White with Anime Matrix], it means the AniMe Matrix Display is supported on your laptop. AniMe Matrix™ Display application has been integrated into the Armoury Crate application.

It's essentially an LED display on the laptop's lid and it's lit. For those of you who don't know the 'AniMe Matrix' display consists of 1,215 Mini-LEDs that support 256 levels of brightness each and can be used to show any kind of animated GIFs or images.
Zephyrus G14 SeriesFeaturing a first-of-its-kind AniMe Matrix™ display, the Zephyrus G14 Series offers deep personalization in a truly unique way.
The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 AniMe Matrix is a fun spin on an excellent gaming notebook, adding a customizable, dynamic LED grid to the laptop's lid. You've never seen anything like it, though the added cost dampens some of the “best value” mojo of the original G14.
Asus put the optional Anime Matrix display on the lid on the G14, but not on the G15, as well as added a reflective prismatic nanofilm layer under the array of dots on both, which shines in different colors based on the angle you're looking at it.

A: NO, this version doesn't haves the AniMe Matrix.
The Zephyrus M16 features the AniMe Matrix LED and more. And all this without taking out the webcam. So yes, there's a small webcam at the top of the display, so you will still be able to do your virtual calls and video recordings.

Due to the limitations of the matrix display, images and animations work best if they contain simple shapes with very high contrast.
You might have noticed in some of the images above that there was a fancy border around the drawings and a “THIS WAY UP” arrow. Those images were created using my template. You can download the template here.
According to ASUS, the AniMe Matrix consists of 1,215 LEDs. In practice, I can only find 1,214 LEDs.
You might notice that when you import designs made using my templates into the Armoury Crate software, the design doesn’t quite seem to go to the edges. Did I make the template too small, robbing you of some precious design real-estate?
Hopefully this blog post has been informative and inspires you to create your own content for the matrix display.
In the Matrix, Jue falls dead to the ground, due to her body being destroyed on the ship.
When Alexa realizes she is trapped inside the matrix with the runner, she is horrified and her avatar screams and dissolves as the runner exits from the rebels' matrix to see a dead Alexa in front of him in the real world.
Kid's Story is the only one of the animated shorts contained in The Animatrix in which Neo appears. The story takes place during the six-month gap between The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded, where Neo has joined the crew of the Nebuchadnezzar and is helping the rebels free other humans from the Matrix. Kid ( Clayton Watson ), who was formerly known as Michael Karl Popper, is a disaffected teenager who feels there is something wrong with the world. One night, the Kid goes on his computer and onto a hacker chat room on the Internet, asking why it feels more real when he's dreaming than when he's awake. He gets a response from an unknown person (presumably Neo) and then he asks who it is and if he is alone.
The Animatrix. The Animatrix ( Japanese: アニマトリックス, Hepburn: Animatorikkusu) is a 2003 adult animated science fiction anthology film produced by the Wachowskis. It is a compilation of nine animated short films based on The Matrix film series, which was written and produced by the Wachowskis.
Final Flight of the Osiris (September 27, 2003 ) To coincide with the Blu-ray edition of The Ultimate Matrix Collection, The Animatrix was also presented for the first time in high definition. The film was released on the 4 Film Favorites WB Collection along with the Trilogy on October 14, 2008.
The beginning of this short includes a short narration from the Instructor (implying that this short is a Zion Archive file) explaining details behind the discovery of the Matrix by "plugged-in" humans. Only exceptional humans tend to become aware of the Matrix, those who have "a rare degree of intuition, sensitivity, and a questioning nature", all qualities which are used to identify inconsistencies in the Matrix. This is not without exceptions, given that "some attain this wisdom through wholly different means."
Within this matrix, the humans attempt to teach the captured machines some of the positive traits of humanity, primarily compassion and empathy. The rebels' hope is that, once converted of its own volition (a key point discussed in the film), an "enlightened" machine will assist Zion in its struggle against the machine-controlled totalitarianism which currently dominates the Earth.

In the mid twenty-first century, humanity falls victim to its vanity and corruption. They develop artificial intelligence, and soon build an entire race of sentient AI robots to serve them. Many of the robots are domestic servants meant to interact with humans, so they are built in "man's own image" (in a humanoid form). With increasing numbers of people released from all labor, much of the human population has become slothful, conceited, and corrupt. Despite this, the machines w…
Development of the Animatrix project began when the film series' writers and directors, The Wachowskis, were in Japan promoting the first Matrix film. While in the country, they visited some of the creators of the anime films that had been a strong influence on their work, and decided to collaborate with them.
The Animatrix was conceived and overseen by the Wachowskis, but they only wrote four of the s…
The soundtrack was composed by Don Davis. Several electronic music artists are featured, including Juno Reactor and Adam Freeland.
