Well subs is where there english (or any other language) subtitles on the bottom/top of the anime episode, where the characters are still speaking in Japanese, but the subs are sort of like translating what they characters saying, and Dubs are where a dubbing company tapes over the Japanese voices and turns them into (English/French/Spanish etc.),dubs are pretty much the taping over the original voices and giving the characters voices in another language but also the dubbing company could make some major changes (like in certain backgrounds or characters names, obviously the scripts and some scenes as well) here's an example below the picture (that's in Japanese) says "Shigeru is the best,Satoshi is an Idiot" while In the dub it was changed to "Gary was here,Ash is a Loser!"
Subs are only better than dubs because most dubs aren't executed properly. Poor voice acting can single handedly ruin the experience and my investment into a show or movie. Diehard weebs incoming!
Still, you gotta admit what little we have seen so far is on point. Anime creator Shinichirō Watanabe is onboard ... and stands as one of the very best of the space western sub-genre. There are similarities between this show’s Van and Bebop’s Spike ...
The best anime of 2021, so far
Dubbed anime allows a wider audience to enjoy an anime series without being required to read subtitles. Some anime fans always prefer to watch anime subbed, while others prefer dubbed anime when it is available.
Basically, a subbed anime has everything the Japanese version has, with the exception of subtitles in English. By contrast, a dub is the Japanese version translated to English, with English voice acting and, in some cases, edits to the animation and music.
For an anime to be dubbed, it means the title has been stripped of its original audio and given rerecorded dialogue, music, etc. Dubbed anime matched up animation with translate dialogue that is recorded in a variety of native language for international fans to then enjoy.

There is nothing wrong with liking anime dubbed. I personally prefer subs, but there is a strong amount of series I have seen that are great in English dubbed form. My problem is usually with the companies that do the translations and hire the voices.
Anime fans know there are two ways to watch any show: dubs or through subs. "Subs" is shot for subtitles, which pretty much everyone is familiar with, but what about "dubs"? The word, short for "dubbing" refers to the process of recording a new vocal track in a different language and replacing the original.
