The Quintessential Quintuplets ' anime franchise will be officially coming to an end with the release of its new feature film hitting theaters across Japan later this Sprin g, and to celebrate series creator Negi Haruba will be whipping up a special new chapter set after the manga's finale.

The official English title of the series is " The Quintessential Quintuplets ." Volume 1 cover features Itsuki Nakano and her sisters' partial shots. The cover of volume 2 until 6 feature one Nakano Quintuplets in their personalized student uniform with colored flower petals unique to each one of them in the background.
The series premiered from January 10 to March 28, 2019, on the TBS, SUN, and BS-TBS channels. Crunchyroll streamed the series with Funimation providing the English dub. On May 5, 2019, a second season, the title of which is styled as The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬, was announced.

On December 4, 2019, Haruba announced that the series would end on its 14th tankōbon volume. The series finished on February 19, 2020.
The first season of the anime covered the manga arcs featured in chapters 1-33. Season 2 followed a different approach and deviated key points of the manga, which is expected to make and ending of chapter 86. There are 122 chapters out at the time of writing this.

Futaro will marry one of the sisters, but the identity of her bride is yet to be revealed.

Raiha Uesugi Itsuki develops a fondness toward Raiha due to her cuteness and partly after learning Uesugi family's circumstances. Initially, Itsuki only exchanged her contact information with Fuutarou in return for Raiha's. The two would even hang out with each other during the school holidays.

According to the popular Japanese blog, the ending of the film is same as the manga, meaning the winning the girl is still, Yotsuba Nakano. However, the movie has added some original content, making it more convincing on why Fuutaro choose Yotsuba Nakano at the end.

The last chapter of the volume, Chapter 77, is about Nino's determination and Miku's successful bread. Volume 10: The first chapter of Volume 10, Chapter 78, is about the five Nakano Quintuplets being together in intense condition.
In the last chapter of Volume 5, Chapter 41, the focus is about Rena present in real life in front of Fuutarou. Volume 6: In the first chapter of Volume 6, the story shows Rena's goodbye to Fuutarou and he falls into a body of water.

The physical release began on December 31, 2018. The story is told through flashbacks from the wedding day of Futaro and one of the quintuplets to their time as tutor and students.
The next day, Futaro meets Takebayashi, his elementary school classmate and tutor, who talks with some of the quintuplets. Ichika spends the evening with Futaro and kisses him. Nino, who tried to invite her stepfather to the festival, is aided by Futaro and makes pancakes for him, sneakily kissing Futaro.
Six years ago on school trips to Kyoto, Yotsuba became separated and helped Futaro out of a bad situation. The two bonded over their family circumstances and future aspirations, promising to study. However, Yotsuba sees Futaro mistake Ichika for her, and decides to stand out from her sisters.
One day, Futaro raises a Japanese history question to them; Miku calls Futaro to the rooftop to privately hear her answer, which he misapprehends as a love confession, and which in turn arouses the discontent of Nino.
To ensure their best chances, Futaro decides to stay overnight for a study session. Nino learns of Futaro's possible resignation and becomes discontent. In the morning, Futaro finds Miku is sleeping beside him, and mistakes her for Itsuki.
He wins a spring break trip, which takes his family to the same inn as the quintuplets and their father. The girls are distant and all dress like Itsuki (to please their grandfather); one of them tells Futaro to end their student-teacher relationship. Futaro can't tell them apart which worsens his situation.
Yotsuba overcomes her guilt for having caused the quintuplets' previous transfer. Itsuki aspires to become a teacher, like her late mother. Ichika considers her feelings for Futaro and exceeds Miku's position as the top student among the quintuplets.
