Eventually, Ryota later admits that he's getting "attracted" to Yumeko, showing that he begins to grow genuine feelings for her.
Yumeko's sister is the older sister of Yumeko Jabami who's currently being hospitalized after her sanity slipped. Yumeko is also paying all enormous expenses of her treatment. Despite being mentioned in the manga, she only makes her physical appearance in the anime.
While many of the characters feel more genuine within their sexuality, it's the same thing that's harming them. There are heavy implications that the housepets of the series are often abused, physically and sexually.
While we haven't been given an exact age for the characters, we know that Runa is a third-year at Hyakkaou Private Academy. Roughly akin to a senior at an American high school, it would be reasonable to guess that she is 17 or 18. Sign up to Apple TV+.

Lee / July 12, 2021 9:12 pm EDT. "Kakegurui" is an anime series that follows the fortunes of students at Hyakkou Private Academy, an elite institution which, instead of ranking their students based on academic ability or even performance in sports, encourages them to refine their skills at gambling.
Another series antagonist is Kirari Momobami (Miyuki Sawashiro), the president of the Student Council at the start of the series, who is responsible for the "housepet" hierarchy system that had Suzui so cowed at the beginning. She was the president who figured in the Season 1 finale and also played a large role in the Season 2 events ...
Yumeko, voiced by Saori Hayami in the Japanese version and by Erika Harlacher in the English, is the show's protagonist, a just and kind student whose entrance at the school changes everything.
Without a solid renewal announcement either from anime studio Mappa or distributor Netflix, which is licensed to stream the series outside of Japan, there's no way of knowing if "Kakeguri" Season 3 is coming back.
Kakegurui Season 3 is a necessity simply because the anime left fans hanging in the middle of the election story arc.
When Kakegurui XX was first announced in 2017, only three manga volumes were released. By 2018, the manga was up to Volume 10, but even with five volumes (and presumably the creator’s notes) available as source material to work with MAPPA ended up relying on filler.
Called Kakegurui Twin, the prequel tells the story of Mary Saotome a year prior to when Yumeko Jabami transfers into Hyakkaou Private Academy. The manga also spawned a four-panel (4-koma) comedy spin-off in 2017. The official English translation for the main series is being released by Yen Press.
For the ending of the first season, original creator Kawamoto wrote Season 1, Episode 12, which had Yumeko gambling directly against student council president Kirari Momobami in order to provide a final confrontation that provided some sort of plot resolution.
Started in 2014, the manga is released in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker and the books are up to Volume 11 as of March 22, 2019. Starting in 2015, a spin-off began serializing.
In the middle of that all, Episodes 7 and 8 covered Chapters 45 through 49 . Rei Batsubami is an entirely anime-original character that was apparently introduced for the sole reason of providing an original story for Kakegurui XX with Episodes 11 and 12.
Fortunately, it’s not too far behind the Japanese language release. By March 2019, the English manga was up to Volume 9, with Volume 10 scheduled for June 18, 2019. The cover art for Kakegurui Volume 11.
