I think the ending was well-built-towards and everything that happened was deserved and appropriately executed. Compared to most fantasy media of any from I can think of, I think aspects of the Claymore endgame are better designed. Here's my logic
Manga and Animations do have totally different endings. Anime has a rushed ending but completes the series, whereas Manga has a smooth ending yet leaves a bit incompletion or does not satify the feels of ending! Although, its just endings, but the whole story differs due to those changes.
This is the 27th (and final) volume in the Claymore series. It did an excellent job of wrapping up this series. There were some awesome action scenes and some huge surprises. Volume 26 ended on a bit of a cliffhanger when we see Clare access Teresa of the Faint Smile.

Every storyline in the Claymore manga series feels like it could have spun out of Berserk. To its credit, the show manages to stand on its own and explore areas that even Berserk did not tread. While the anime is fairly short and has a different ending, it does the manga justice.

After her revival from within Clare, which she stated made her stronger than her original self, Teresa eventually awakens. Her strength and prowess are enough to easily overwhelm Priscilla, the strongest antagonist of the series.

Teresa was killed for sure, in both the anime and the manga, but she still lived within Clare because Clare took up her flesh and blood (from her severed head) to become an unusual Claymore who is 1/4 yoma and 3/4 human . The Teresa that appears in chapter 150 is Clare's awakened form.
The Claymore anime storyline is indeed different from that in the Claymore manga, albeit only substantially different for the ending. As the manga was still ongoing, the anime had to end at the conclusion of the Northern Campaign arc, but they somehow made the ending different.
