Monika is one of the main characters and main antagonist of the psychological horror game Doki Doki Literature Club! Her mod was created by DusterBuster, coming with 3 main songs and a secret 4th freeplay song.
All four of the main girls are incredibly likable for their own reasons, and each are incredibly popular within the fandom, but perhaps none are more relatable and tragic than that of the club's President, Monika.

if not, Monika just simply read your name which you use on your computer. In my situation i have Administrator,aaaand...she called me one. if not, Monika just simply read your name which you use on your computer. In my situation i have Administrator,aaaand...she called me one.
After finishing the game, i have come to a conclusion that what Monika did is too complicated technologically and emotionally (deleting the other girls). As such, Monika must be a trap (secretly male).
The game brings the player one-on-one with Monika as she sits there and stares at you. The only way to get rid of her is to delete her character file.

Player - Monika and Player have a good relationship at first until she deleted Girlfriend so she could have him for herself. In BOYFRIEND GETS A FAN CLUB?! Friday Night Funkin' Logic, she, Sky and Sarvante kidnap him so that he could choose to date either one of them.
Monika has an cheerful and outgoing personality, tending to be laid back, calm, and openly friendly in personality . This makes Monika easily able to socialize with other people, including those she has just met, and her friendly personality makes her prefer to be called Kaniko than by her real name.
Monika is a short, petite girl with quite a round face and semicircular eyes, their irises white. Her hair is short, and worn styled like a crab’s body in two high bunches with claw-shaped ends, six short tufts protruding out to the sides, and split bangs hanging over each eye. Platinum Collection Build Your Own Bundle.
Deductive Skills: Despite the first impressions she may generate , Monika is very intelligent and has a sharp mind. She was able to deduce the method by which the Villain Factory was using the products of the Kanidoge food chain to import and distribute Trigger, as well as discover the main suspect even though he was disguised.
The kanji in her surname, Kaniyashiki, respectively mean “crab” ( 蟹#N#,#N#kani?), “roof/house” or “shop/seller” (屋#N#,#N#ya?), and “spread/promulgate” (敷#N#,#N#shiki?). Her given name, Monika, is written in katakana (モニカ) and therefore has no known kanji reading.
Character. Monika is a Isolationist and Manipulative Yandere; introduced as the Literature Club president, she is very driven and goal focused with a passion for poetry and music. She is fully supportive of the Player, giving helpful tips, and comments on how the players choices are influencing their relationships.
Personality. Monika is noted by the other characters to be smart, confident and athletic. She is not as talkative as the other girls, but this is implied to not be through choice. Monika is also known to be quite popular, which causes the protagonist to have an admiration for her.
Ultimately, Monika's attempt to make the other girls unlikable led to her accidentally driving Yuri to suicide due to alterations to her personality, then finally her deleting Natsuki in order to be able to spend time with the player alone in Act 3, creating her own "happy ending.".
[8] Monika is a vegetarian because she wants to contribute to lowering the carbon footprint of the planet, which is usually caused by meat factories and other industrial markets.
She later states that she knows this and is jealous of the other girl's for having them, as well as wishing she could have "worn some cute clothes for you.". This is most likely due to the game not originally having a route for her.
Monika had previously been a part of the Debate Club but left due to all the inner politics and drama, highlighting a desire for order, freedom of topics and friendliness.
Every girl except Monika wears white and blue shoes, but Monika's are white and pink. Furthermore on these two points, Monika is positioned so close on the Title Screen that her legs up to the black thigh-highs don't even make it into the frame and cannot be seen at all, hiding her differences at first.
Monika is the club president of the Literature Club. She is kind friends with the three girls. She will soon realise that she is trapped in a game and has no good ending for her, and will do anything to avoid it
The knowledge that she can never truly be with the player drove her mad. To ensure that the player ends up with her, she starts bullying and gaslighting the other characters through the game's coding, hoping that she would be chosen over her mentally unstable friends. Monika begins messing with the game, which includes deleting Sayori from the game, revealing disturbing information on the remaining girls, and playing with the choices. After Yuri kills herself, Monika proceeds to delete Yuri and Natsu
Monika sees past all of what she's designed to be unlike her club mates and gets a larger-than-life personality. This is another thing that left some players attached to her.
One great thing that is instantly noticeable about Monika is that she is confident. While she isn't as talkative as her club mates that players are introduced to, it's easy to see how much her confidence shines through her few words and design.
The fact still remains that Monika isn't real, no matter how much she wants to be. The character is just so deranged due to this realization that it makes her entirely too creepy to be anything near best girl. No matter how many things she discovers, she will always be just Monika.
Monika's birthday is September 22, which also happens to be the day that Doki Doki Literature Club released! Given the nature of her character, this is an incredibly creative and clever twist.
Monika states in-game that her favorite color is emerald green, and that she feels she shares a certain connection with the color, as it was also the color chosen for her eyes when designing her. Since she watches on as the other girls get to have their romantic routes with the player, unable to change anything concrete about her circumstances, it's been speculated that this could be a play on the phrase "green with envy." The spire above is from the mod www.monikaafterstory.com
At first glance, most probably assume that Monika's name doesn't hold too much of a deeper meaning, aside from being much more of a Western-sounding name than those of her clubmates, Yuri, Sayori, and Natsuki. This could have been done to further separate her as being different from the others, and more aware of her role, but it also suits her personality quite well.

When Monika is first introduced, she's shown to be an incredibly driven and motivated self-confident character who isn't afraid to take charge when the situation calls for it. While most of that is indeed true, most of her confidence is simply projected.
