Makima killed Power because she wanted Denji to experience the ultimate Hell. She wanted to take everything Denji considers close. I’m sure, if Himeno didn’t die back in the Katana Man Arc, Makima could have killed her too!
Makima is a Public Safety Devil Hunter, who took Denji as her human pet. She is later revealed to be the Control Devil which embodies the fear of control. She is the main female protagonist and serves as the overall main antagonist of the story.
The Control Devil has a contract with the Prime Minister of Japan in exchange of working for Japan. As a result of her contract with the Prime Minister, any fatal damage inflicted to Makima is transferred into an appropriate illness or ailment affecting a random citizen of Japan.

Aki has a crush on Makima and seems to trust her deeply, although this could possibly be of Makima's doing. Hence why Aki cannot recall his reasoning to liking her. Makima has an utter disregard for Aki's feelings, and was not interested in him beyond his use as a tool.

Authority: Being one of the highest members of the Devil Hunter Organization, Makima is able to assert her own authority towards the other Devil Hunter either through charisma or fear befitting her title as the Control Devil due to her brainwashing powers and manipulation.
With Makima terribly injured, Denji knows that this won't be enough to kill her (given that she's come back from far worse) so he enacts his final, brutal plan. He reveals that he came up with the dangerous idea to chop up her body, cook her, and then eat her as a way to finally defeat her once and for all.
To sum it up, Kishibe has perhaps the highest physical prowess in the series. And he is a human being, which means he can also make a contract with other devils. So far, the only information we got about this is that Kishibe has contracts with 3 devils, being a Claw Devil, Knife Devil, and Needle Devil.
Makima and Denji shared an asymmetrical relationship: whereas Denji was greatly infatuated with Makima and willing to go to great lengths to serve her, Makima saw Denji as nothing more than a pet and tool, taking interest in him solely for the fact that the Chainsaw Devil Pochita resided in his heart.
Based on Makima's canonical height (173 cm), I like to believe Quanxi is 6'1.
To counter it, Makima activates her ability to use the contracts of Aki Hayakawa, Tendo, Yutaro Kurose and Akane Sawatari and the abilities of Spider Devil and Angel Devil. However, Makima "failed" to defeat the Gun Devil. His remnants possessed the corpse of Aki Hayakawa and they become a Gun Fiend.
Makima is very attractive and desirable to men. She got Denji’s attention as well. Her form when she is an adult is around 23 years of age, but this was never really confirmed. Most of the time she is seen wearing a black businessman suit with a black tie on a white shirt which is tucked inside just like every other Devil Hunter.
Makima is not a jolly person to be around with irrespective of whether you are a human, a devil, or a colleague.
Makima is a fearless and skilled fighter she could damage her opponents in any with her fists even without her devil powers. The contract with the PrimeMinister makes her less and free and she was also very careful to reveal her identity and true intentions too early.
Makima isn’t a pleasant person to be around, no matter if you are a human, a devil, or a colleague. At the start of the story, she seemed like the savior to Denji, but it quickly changed as the term she used for him, “pet” meant literally a pet.
Makima would be an insane opponent even without her devil powers. She was fearless and tough in a fight and proved to be useful with only using her fists. She obviously had no reason to fear death due to her contract with the PM and her devil nature, but she also had to be careful not to reveal her identity and intentions too early.
Makima came out to be the second most popular character after Denji in the community polls.
Makima was a prominent member of the Public Safety Devil Hunter branch. She was an effective fighter even with just physical damage, and she also proved to be a good leader. Well, this leadership skill probably only covered her ability to manipulate others, throw their lives on the line and thus win fights.
Makima met Denji right after he defeated the Zombie Devil, and took him in as a pet rather than killing him for being a hybrid. Although she seemed nice initially, she turned out to be pretty controlling for Denji, but he still sought her presence because he was in dire need of a human relationship. That sadly couldn’t happen.
Makima showed up at the Yakuza scene when Denji already took care of the Zombie Devil [2]. She offered the man two options: being killed on spot for being a devil, or living the rest of his life as a pet. He went along with the latter option after hearing that Makima eats for breakfast, and also for the chance of a normal life.
As Chainsaw Man hasn’t yet been adapted into an anime, we don’t know who will be playing the part of the Makima. We will be sure to update this section as soon as we find out.
Makima initially presented herself as a woman with otherworldly beauty around her early to mid twenties with light brownish-red hair tied in braid and has an eye length bangs and has two longer side bangs that frame her face. In addition, she also possesses strange golden eyes that almost looks like a cat with swirly pupils accompanied by it. Most of the time, she supports a rather calm and collected look on her face to show that she is rather serious on her job.
This is due to the fact that Makima had 3 white dogs and 4 black dogs in her apartment which parallels the hybrids around Chapter 86 as most of them have a black hair (Katana Man, The Sword Devil, Reze and the Flamethrower devil) and the rest has white hair such as Quanxi, the Whip Devil and the Spear Devil.
Denji's wishes to eat a huge steak in Chapter 93 as this parallels Chapter 96 where Denji ate Makima as Ginger-Fried Meat and Onions with her remains. Fujimoto's interest with food such as Parfait in the mangaka comments of the week of Shonen Jump which reflects Denji eating Makima in the end of Chapter 96.
Reflection and Conversion: It is stated by Makima herself that after making a contract with the Japanese Prime Minister, any attacks that will be inflicted by Makima herself will be converted into some kind of illness for the Japanese people or at the very least, having their deaths dismissed as accidents.
Omniscience: Being one of the strongest devils in existence and having lived for years, Makima possesses a rather omniscient level of knowledge. This is because of her powers using a low-life creatures such as rats or birds across the planet by borrowing their ears or eyes in order to gather more information.
In Pochita's vision, she is imagined as wearing pure white lingerie alongside Reze. During the meeting at the beach Chapter 74, Makima only wears a plain, simple yet beautiful black dress. When she was shot by the Gun Devil, a halo of brain matter emerges from her headshot, making her resemble a faux angel.
Most of the Devil Hunters work for Makima under respect and fear. The latter personality can be shown when some of the Devil Hunters in Kyoto Division, Kurose and Tendo, were absolutely terrified and nervous when it comes to talking with Makima herself or the former devil hunter turned into mercenary for the Gun Devil, Akane Sawatari, expresses her fear with Makima and her powers after seeing Makima brutally murdered her accomplices with her own devilish powers and even warning his other accomplice, Katana Man, as there is no way for them to run against Makima.
