Which Baki characters are based on real people?
There is currently no information on a possible season 5 of Baki (or Baki Hanma). The fourth season premiered on Netflix on September 30, 2021 so it’s still rather early to tell whether we’ll see the fifth season, but there certainly is enough manga material to adapt so the possibility is palpable.
The style and the themes have remained more or less the same in the sequel, with the changes being primarily due to the changes in the plot. On a general level, Baki and Baki Hanma are practically identical, which was – to be honest – expected.
According to stats from FlixPatrol, Baki Hanma isn't only the most popular anime on Netflix, but the seventh most popular show on its entire platform, beating out massive TV hits like Seinfeld and Lucifer.
On the surface Baki comes across as the stereotypical shounen following a teenage boy training to become the world's strongest fighter, a label currently held by his. However, when delving deeper into the story, Baki manages to encapsulate the concept of fighting and the themes that tie with such.
