10 Reasons Why Watching Anime Is Better Than Reading Manga
I strongly prefer reading manga to watching anime. Mixture of both. I still plan on watching stuff like Hell's Paradise, Demon Slayer and Kaiju no 8 even though am done or up to date with their mangas. Simply because the studios involved or tired to be involved (mappa, ufotable and bones) would find a way to make the work even better.
Always read the manga when you can. You’ll avoid all the nonsense anime has to do and also fillers. But Bleach anime is actually pretty good. Save up to 80% on your next printer ink cartridges! While the 1997 anime adaptation still did a fair amount of justice to the story, the 2016 version was a complete flop. There is absolutely no need to consider watching that version. You will be left with a very bitter taste in your mouth. III. DELETION OF SOME CRUCIAL PARTS OF THE PLOT
This is provided by the monochromatic (black and white) color framework employed in the manga. Whereas in the anime, the lack of attention to detail can be clearly seen. Also, it fails to capture the same atmosphere and emotions like the manga does.
Anime has created some of the best music - from dramatic orchestral tunes to lighthearted pop tracks. Watching a fight scene or a death scene is much more impactful for fans who have the right music playing alongside it. It's harder for a manga to evoke the same emotions when anime fans have to read the content instead of experiencing it.
Anime is well-known for its fantastical animation. It's one thing to read about a story, but it's completely different to see it in motion. Series like Jujutsu Kaisen, Violet Evergarden, and Your Lie In April have breathtaking visuals that truly capture the spirit of the manga.
When it comes to dialogue, there is only so much a manga can do to get the character's tone across. No matter how much punctuation is added, the emotions don't feel as real until they're heard.
Mangas require a lot less reading than other books. The majority of a story is visual with speech bubbles to help fans understand the plot. For those who aren't a fan of reading or struggle with reading, watching anime allows them to experience the story.
There's nothing like seeing a great manga get transformed when animation, music, and vibrant colors are added. Color imagery gives a new level of character understanding by introducing the colors of the character's hair, eyes, and clothing. The vibrant blue of Gojo's eyes in Jujutsu Kaisen is incredible when shown in full color.
Anime openings are one of the best parts of watching anime. The opening sets the tone for the series and showcases songs. Despite being aired in the '90s, fans still talk about how great the opening to Cowboy Bebop is.
Anime and manga are loved by fans all over the world. It stands to reason that some fans will have trouble pronouncing names and locations. The majority of manga and anime is Japanese, and these places/names deserve their correct pronunciation.
While the manga uses paneling, pacing, and strategic shading to highlight the plot, the anime is an audio-visual medium that uses sound and the illusion of moving images to do the same.
Originally written by the mangaka Kentaro Miura, the Berserk manga has earned lots popular acclaim and an equal amount of notoriety for its violence and gore and its fantastical storylines. While the 1997 anime adaptation still did a fair amount of justice to the story, the 2016 version was a complete flop.
1. Quick Answer. It is a unanimous opinion that the two anime adaptations are nowhere as good as the original manga. The anime adaptations are abridged versions of the manga, which leave out a lot of crucial scenes. Berserk.
4. Author’s Note. While the anime adaptations are very messy and don’t do justice to the manga, they should be forgiven as the two are extremely different mediums.
However, the anime adaptations produced in 1997 and 2016 have been widely discredited for their lackluster take on the brilliant manga. Though the 1997 version is considered better than the 2016 version, it still is a victim of the backlash of many fans of the original manga.
A lot of people don’t like the Naruto plot because its escalated from simple Ninjas to alien gods invading earth seeking to destroy the world. But in fairness, I think thats what makes it really good. It shows growth and it was a gradual thing that had buildup and foreshadowing from pretty much the beginning.
Reading the manga is actually really enjoyable, and am currently re reading it.
The Zanpakuto arc is strictly-anime and it’s fantastic! It elaborates on a lot of the zanpakuto and gives them an opportunity to flex their personality.
I recommend the manga. I feel like the drawings and the pacing is better than the anime in my opinion. If you’re not a fan of filler episodes and arcs, then the manga is for you.
The filler parts of the anime come almost out of nowhere and feel really awkward at first, but they tend to elaborate on characters that don’t really get the spotlight during the main story arcs.
But Bleach anime is actually pretty good.
Manga is basically a Japanese style comic book while Anime is basically Japanese style animation. Note that this is not a light read. 1. They also offer insight into a multitude of themes. Believe it or not, manga often explores in depth human thoughts and other complex concepts and issues. In the manga itself, you’ll find that the characters question themselves about tons of different things. What’s right? What is a friend? How should I treat other people? What is good, and what is evil? It’s extremely enlightening and manga is sure to give you second thoughts about what you may have thought was previously right before.
Pokemon, Digimon, Teen Titans and Avatar the Last Airbender were all American TV shows that many people have watched, and they all have one thing in common. They all combined aspects of anime, whether it be the art, or the thrilling adventure. In Digimon and Pokemon’s case, they just simply dubbed the anime over.
The same accessibility and wide variety of themes in TV shows or American comic books is less available because there’s a certain limit on how far certain themes can be explored (appropriate for the audience). You could argue that books offer the same amount of weird themes, but manga has it drawn. MANGA. HAS.
