There isn't an age limit for watching anime. You just watch until you get bored of it.
Consider taking a break. You can also try to take a break from anime by not watching any anime or reading any manga for a certain period of time. Try it for two weeks, and see how you feel. You might surprise yourself by finding that you have discovered other hobbies and interests to fill up that void.
However, there is nothing to worry about if children watch anime in moderation. Not only with Anime but with any entertainment genre, spending a lot of time is detrimental for the mental health of anyone, not just children. You can set a time for your child to watch a movie like after homework or on the weekend, etc.
Anime seen on the Cartoon Network (or other channels that show children's cartoons) before 9pm is probably safe for most children younger than 13. If it is on after 9pm, then you know it isn't appropriate for children younger than 13.
Of course, watching anime can be a compulsive addiction. It's similar to compulsive gambling, Tumblr reading, and other compulsive behaviors. Anime may ease your anxiety, but the association, if you aren't careful, can create anxiety.
like myself, some people are addicted to anime because it's fun, action-packed, comedic, and entertaining, it's like a show that's so good you can't help but watch another episode, and the characters are cute and different.

Death Note is perfectly fine for 11 year olds. This anime is a masterpiece, and while the 11 year olds may not fully understand the amazing phsycology and genius behind it, that doesn't mean they won't find it entertaining. It is a must-watch for everybody, as it's emotional, entertaining, and dramatic.
Answered March 23, 2021. The only reason why I stopped watching anime is because the newest animes are focusing on: romance, bigg boobs, beautiful girls, sex scenes. instead of the story and most anime doesn't represent asian culture they just keep using western culture on anime, No hate but it's kinda overrated.
Even in lighthouse which is movie with just 2 characters every character conversation work because of interesting dynamic between the characters. Because most of the anime characters that I knew never had such realistic aspects to its hard for me to appreciate anime characters and character conversations.
You don't need to to be inspired by the anime character, rather become a man of inspiration. Those anime characters are also made by real humans, you need to realize this fact. One of the biggest factor, especially for me to leave watching anime was I used to connect with the characters and enjoyed what they did.
Anime is not a genre, and I still watch it to this day as a 30 yrs old, and I know I will still watch it in ten years and so on as long as theres anime that catches my interest. There are some animes that I stopped watching midway but the reasons vary. Sometimes I just lose interest in it.
