10 The Winged Dragon Of Ra

The Winged Dragon of Ra is really not a good card. It's the worst of the god cards, and requires way too much to get on the field for what it offers. In the anime, however, it does everything?

9 Multiply

In the real-life card game, Multiply simply summons a few Kuriboh tokens, and that's it. That's all you're getting out of the card. In the anime, thousands of Kuriboh spring to life and protect their duelist from harm, for one turn or more, as usual, depending on the scenario.

8 Labyrinth Wall

Labyrinth Wall is hilariously bad in the real-life card game. It's a 5-star monster with 0 attack points and 3000 defense points. Oh, and no effect, either. In the anime, uh, wow. So, it turns the entire field into a labyrinth that comes with its own set of rules and fundamentally changes how the game is played.

7 Toon World

So, this is fun. In the real-life card game, if you simply use Mystical Space Typhoon to take out Toon World, all Toon monsters are the field are destroyed and you can basically just win the duel.

6 Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth

Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth is held as some sort of deity in the anime, when in reality it's not even that strong of a card there either. In both the anime and the real-life card game, Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth can only be summoned if you can manage to keep a Petit Moth on the field for five turns when it is equipped with Cocoon of Evolution.

5 Flame Swordsman

Flame Swordsman isn't a good card in real life, specifically because it is a fusion monster. Yes, you heard right. In order to get this card on the field, you need three other cards. Absolutely not, straight up no. The anime said, "nevermind," and made the card a regular monster.

3 Harpie Lady

In the real card game, the Harpie archetype is generally okay, but not really competitive in any real way. One standard for every Harpie deck, however, is that none of them use Harpie Lady. They all use her several upgraded versions. Not Mai Valentine though. She uses a 1300 attack point monster as the base of all of her combos.
