If action is more to your taste, Castlevania is excellent there as well. Apart from a few rough cuts, the animation is great and the action never feels generic. It's always interesting to watch and improves with each season. Gory too, as it should be for a horror series.
One big reason for Castlevania's success is its subject matter. The game series has many fans, but the anime also has mainstream appeal due to its focus on Dracula and other vampire tropes.
Split into three seasons, Castlevania is a quick but satisfying watch, making it an excellent first anime for beginners.
The penultimate episodes of Castlevania are usually the best, and Episode 9, “The Endings” is no exception. This episode is literally nonstop action, with our three main heroes going to town on night creatures for the entire episode. It's actually kind of hard to keep up and decide who has the best moment.
Series Review: Netflix's CASTLEVANIA Ends Four Seasons of Brilliant Horror Animation on a High Note. For four seasons, Netflix's Castlevania has delivered a diamond standard of American animation in this criminally underrated series.
Fans of the series love its dark, oppressive atmosphere, its deliberate animations and its high level of challenge. The Castlevania series had all of that decades before the first "Souls" game ever saw the light of day.

This is clearly an R-rated horror adventure, but it also has a sense of humor that doesn't feel forced and always tends to fit in at the right opportunities. The character development is also adequate even in four episodes.
While technically the series is based on Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, there's no need to have played any Castlevania games to enjoy the series (which hardcore fans may balk at). Castlevania ’s dialogue and world-building are both engaging but the action is also solid. Every battle is pretty epic, whether it’s a one-on-one fight between Trevor and someone in his way or antagonists laying waste to Wallachia.
