Samurai Jack may not be considered an anime, but it brings so much Japanese culture to life in a cartoon. This allowed American audiences to be exposed to the culture (even if in a fictional way). With those words Aku attacks by shape-shift into a gorilla. Aku manages to scratch the Prince's back but soon enough the Prince manages to cut off many pieces of Aku's shifting forms (next going from a scorpion, a tentacled creature, a billy goat, and finally a bat). The Emperor tells his son that Aku means to use the riches found in the mines to take over the entire world. The Prince promises that he will vanquish Aku by the power of his sword, but his father berates him, saying that the sword is but a tool, and that the true power lies in the hands that wield it.

As Jack is dragged along with the animal, he grabs and climbs the vine, until he reaches the animal tied to it. Jack climbs onto the animal and ties the vine around the animal's front legs, tripping it over and stopping it at the edge of a cliff.
He fired his arrows at each of the start buttons of the machines, causing them to fire the stones into the middle of the army , destroying several Beetle Drones. Jack then activated the second trap, exploding barrels by firing arrows at flint on top of the barrels, creating several explosions and destroying more Drones.

He follows the trail from the tango beast to a bar of bounty hunters to a sea captain to a chart that directs them to The Great Unknown. The Scotsman hires a ship to take them there.
Samurai Jack befriends a future community building a spaceship to escape Aku's tyrannic rule. Jack agrees to assist in their escape by fighting off the blockade orbiting the planet in return for a trip through time back home.

Da Samurai is captured and Jack defeats the 100+ robots...but they assemble into one gigantic multi-headed robot. Jack joins a group of gangsters who work for Aku. He also agrees to help steal the heavily protected crystal that can give Aku power over the whole planet. Fortunately Jack has not become a traitor, but has his own plans of how to hand over the swag.
Jack hears tales about a race of amphibians living in an underwater city who have a time machine. He searches them out, and they agree to let him use the machine, but the creatures have not been entirely truthful.
He vows to help the dogs gain their freedom from a life of enslaved jewel mining.
