The plot of Pokemon Adventures is much more mature and serious than most of the anime. Characters constantly betray and deceive each other, people get hurt more, and some Pokemon actually die. This makes the plot much more interesting and exciting, especially for older fans. Of course, there are still many happy moments in the manga.
1) Pokemon XY: The Series. (Photo: The Pokemon Company) Although it's the most recent, Pokemon XY is easily the best series of the Pokemon animes to date. Ash joins Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie in the Kalos region and assembles his strongest team of Pokemon to date.
The Pokémon anime is a great anime, as seen from its great fame around the world. Though, its all based on opinion. i personally do like the anime, oldie but a gooodie.
The Pokémon world in the anime looks vibrant and is truly a perfect form of escapism. Seeing many regions/cities based on real locations are always interesting to see. From Japan, America, France, and England, it is fun to compare and contrast what makes each Pokémon region similar, yet different from our world.
All movies from pokemon are worth watching because each story from the movies are quite unique and solely concentrate either on the legendary pokemon itself or the consequences of going again a certain law which that legendary pokemon reigns over.
The Pokémon anime series was largely credited for allowing anime to become more popular and familiar around the world, especially in the United States, where the two highest-grossing anime films are both Pokémon films....Pokémon (TV series)Pokémonポケットモンスター (Poketto Monsutā)GenreAdventure Fantasy comedyAnime television series12 more rows

I believe it is an anime due to the japanese style art that that is used in common animes. Pokemon uses old style of anime drawings.

The Pokémon anime grabbed kids in a way that few other shows had to that point; and for a time, it was a bonafide international sensation. Certainly, the popularity of the games had something to do with it, but the show also appealed to kids on its own merits. Here's one reason: It was serialized.
Sazae-san - 7,701 episodes Recognized by the Guinness World Records, this anime holds the world record for the longest-running animated TV series. The show is about a mother named Sazae-san and her family life.
Mrs. Sazae is the longest-running animated television series in the world — The Simpsons have nothing on this show. It began airing back in 1969 and has only ever had to show reruns twice during that tenure.
Most fans agree that Pokemon: Best Wishes, which chronicles Ash's adventures in the Unova region, is easily the worst part of the Pokemon anime. After a brilliant finish to the Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl series, Ash's skills and Pokemon knowledge painfully regressed back to that of a newbie trainer.
Pokemon: Advanced Generation follows Ash's journeys through the Hoenn region, accompanied by Brock and his new friends May and Max. Although Misty didn't join Ash in Hoenn, she re-appeared for two episodes where she released her recently evolved Togetic to protect a colony of Togepi.
The series' one redeeming quality was that Ash attempted to rotate more than six Pokemon during his journeys. In addition to Pikachu, Ash rotated through nine Pokemon, although only Krookodile was particularly strong.
3) Pokemon: The Johto Journeys. (Photo: The Pokemon Company) While technically a part of the original Indigo League series, The Johto Journeys combines the nostalgia of the original series with a smarter and more mature Ash.
While Ash believed in cultivating Pokemon to their fullest potential, Paul only kept the strongest and most naturally gifted Pokemon. This culminated when Paul released a Chimchar for being too weak, leading for it to join Ash's team.
For those not as familiar with the Pokemon anime, the show is divided into five distinct series. While Ash and Pikachu are central characters throughout the show, each series features new companions, new challenges, and brand new Pokemon teams. Since Pokemon Sun and Moon will be on Japanese television (and YouTube) in the not too distant future, ...
Advanced Generation isn't a bad series, but it ranks fourth mainly because Ash's team through his Hoenn journey is a bit...odd. While Sceptile and Glalie proved to be powerhouses on Ash's team, Torkoal and Corphish felt more like running gags than useful Pokemon. prev next.
A cartoon is an image that is generally drawn either in an unrealistic or semi-realistic way and is usually depicted for comical and satirical entertainment. A person who draws cartoon images is called a cartoonist however, in recent times they are referred to as animators.
Anime as we all know is a term we came to know from the Japanese animated shows. Anime is the short form of the word ‘animation’ which the Japanese used to call their animated shows regardless of their designs, styles, and quality. Anime is generally hand drawn and computer animation used by the Japanese to illustrate animated pictures.
Although both cartoons and anime are animated content produced for entertainment purposes for certain groups of audiences there are a couple of differences that are worth discussing.
Anime (Japanese: アニメ) sometimes called Japanimation, is hand-drawn or computer animation coming from Japan and having a distinct Japanese style. The term anime itself is derived from the English word animation, and in Japan, it is used to describe all forms of animation, regardless of origin and style. Outside Japan, though, the term refers ...
Production methods and techniques related to anime have adapted over time in response to emergent technologies , meaning that the animation techniques have become more and more sophisticated. As a multimedia art form, it combines graphic art, characterization, cinematography, and other creative techniques.
The earliest known commercial Japanese animation dates back to 1917 . A characteristic style of animation emerged during the 1960s with the works of Osamu Tezuka and spread in the second half of the 20 th century, gaining popularity not just in Japan, but also around the world.
Although the world “cartoon” can also refer to short comics, we are going to talk about animated cartoons in this chapter. The original gag cartoons are drawn in a very similar style to animated cartoons, which is why the two terms are used interchangeably.
Although, as we’ve seen, there is basically no difference between the terms anime and cartoon, the fact that the former is generally used to describe Japanese-style animation outside of Japan, we prefer to use the term rather than the synonym cartoon, because it might cause confusion for people.
In today’s article, we are going to see is Pokemon a cartoon or an anime. The Pokémon TV-series is actually considered to be an anime, rather than a cartoon because it was made in Japan ...
One advantage the OG anime has compared to Origins is Ash and his friends traveling throughout each region. Even if it is just for one episode, seeing a town or city thrive with such personality makes us feel like we are there with Ash and the gang.
Akin to the first entry, the OG anime might not be entirely faithful to the games, it at least makes up for it by focusing on the traveling aspect. The Pokémon world in the anime looks vibrant and is truly a perfect form of escapism.
