It has humour, action, a good plot, interesting characters and great animation. I only scored it a 7 because it's a bit 'young' for my taste (I'd have liked a darker, more serious tone) and at one season, it does seem a little pointless. I'd like to see a 2nd season to flesh things out more. Worth a watch.

The animation is by J.C.Staff and I like the character designs and the animation used in the anime. The fight scenes look cool and the animation makes them exciting.

Sentai Filmworks’ English dubs have improved over the years and this anime has one of their better dubs.

The Music Is Good

Keiji Inai’s soundtrack is good, I enjoyed the music in this anime and it had a nice fantasy feel to it. I like the music in the anime.

I think before I begin this review I need to set a ground rule. The name of this anime is absolutely terrible. Not only is it a terrible description of what this series is about, but it sets forth an expectation of yet another excuse to use the roleplaying game and fantasy dynamic to cater to fetishes and desires for a ‘waifu’.

Synopsis

Having lost his entire family, Bell Cranel wishes for nothing more than to become a strong adventurer so he can honor his late grandfather's wishes; to be a hero that can save a damsel and make her fall in love with him.
