Higehiro, or “Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway” is a romantic comedy anime series that first aired in the spring of 2021. The romantic comedy genre, the most popular in Japan, has been the subject of many mangas, light novels, and anime series.
At the time of writing, Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway has not been renewed and the anime is unlikely to return for season 2. Whilst there may not be any official word on Higehiro’s future, fans should be aware that this is likely to be the last time we see Sayu and Yoshida in an anime series.
Despite heavy criticism at the start, Higehiro has gone onto become one of the most beloved anime on the Spring slate. Unfortunately, it’s now time for fans around the world to say goodbye to the hit series, with the premiere of episode 13 today.
First things first. The anime may have been finished but it did not cover the entire LN. In addition to the cut side charcter in the anime, specifically, the anime finished at almost the end of the LN epilogue and has cut the very beautiful part of the LN ending imo.
So it looks like a Higehiro OVA episode is still on the cards. Currently, neither 'Higehiro: Another Side Story' nor 'Higehiro Season 2' has been officially confirmed. We will surely keep you updated on this. Stay tuned to Devdiscourse to get the latest updates on the Japanese anime series.

To date, both the anime and the manga series haven't been revealed yet if Sayu ends up with Yoshida. Given that Yoshida has a lot of women in his life, one could easily say he is a man with principles, not biting on the bait despite having it served in front of him. His morals are upright and he respects women.
Based on the light novel series of the same name by Shimesaba with the illustrations of booota, and on the shōnen manga series by the same author with the illustrations of Imaru Adachi, Higehiro definitely made a great run as an anime series having 13 episodes this anime season.
"Future" (未来, Mirai) is the thirteenth and final episode of the Hige wo Soru.
I recommend starting at Chapter 45. However, the twelfth episode technically ends at Chapter 90. Every thing in between was skipped.

For anyone who watched Higehiro through to the end, however, they know the relationship Yoshida and Sayu ended up having was anything but 'controversial'. In fact, it turned out to be one of the sweetest, most pure relationships in anime in recent years.
With Sayu and Yoshida finally meeting again, with the help of good old friends like Asami, the ending of Higehiro satisfies the whole build-up for the whole season.
Higehiro is not a romantic comedy, it is an anime that seeks to tell a story, a story about despair, about home and most importantly about need. To tell this story we are introduced to two characters. Yoshida, a man who falls in love with his boss.

Tomoki Kikuya is composing the series' music.
