You should definitely have SDR2 and DR1 knowledge when going into this game... DRV3 is its own self-contained storyline, but it might have some fourth wall-breaking references to DR3 that you won't get. It's certainly not required to watch it.
New anime series to finish the Hope's Peak Academy story. Spike Chunsoft debuted a new trailer for New Danganronpa V3: Everyone's New Semester of Killing and announced the Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak Academy anime during its Danganronpa Presentation Press Conference today.
It follows Makoto Naegi, Kyoko Kirigiri, Aoi Asahina and twelve other Future Foundation members in one last killing game. Despair Arc, the second chapter, is a prequel to the entire series. It tells the backstory of the Remnants of Despair and explains how they got corrupted.
Danganronpa V3: The Phantom Pain For one, Danganronpa 3 is actually not a video game. It's an anime, subtitled The End of Hope's Peak, and will hypothetically bring the story of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc's survivors to a close.

15 It Features Pink Blood To Avoid Censorship Danganropa wanted to avoid any censorship or controversy before it could even get started so the development team changed the color of the blood from red to bright pink.
Danganronpa is very dramatic, but the game takes the cake when it comes to dramatizing scenes. The story scenes, trials, and investigations are a lot more drawn out. The game features more arguing between characters and even more development between classmates like Sakura, who ends up being the group's spy.
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. Before you play V3, you should watch/play these (in order!!) Imo you should just go chronoligcally story wise ( From start to finish ). Reason being because everything just sorts it self out, questions get answered, and so on.
Canon is canon indeed. Personally I think Danganronpa 2 ruined the series.
