Black Clover is the clear winner when it comes to the terms and practices of magic. This is just to say mention that Black Clover is one of the finest anime series of all the time and even when it is compared to Fairy Tail. 1. The colors of Fairy Tail are far better than that of Black Cloves, which goes around general medieval fantasy sets.
Great dumb fun for Shounen fans. It certainly is not for everyone, and the first 13 or even 20 episodes are very slow and even a bit annoying. But, when it gets good, it gets amazing. I was really impressed by the characters and the way they play off each other.
What Black Clover excels at compared to most of its shonen brethren is its pacing, which goes by at a quick pace and does not compromise its storytelling. For an example, it took Naruto about 100 chapters for the first major antagonist, Orochimaru, to show up, while Black Clover took just a little over 30.
In November 2019, Crunchyroll listed Black Clover in their "Top 100 best anime of the 2010s".
The series certainly fell short at the start, but the story's progression has propelled the franchise to tremendous success and Black Clover, as a whole, is extremely popular, globally recognized, and regularly features on the 'most watched' or 'popular' lists on the majority of anime streaming services.
As an anime fan, you are probably familiar with the titles: One Piece, Naruto & Bleach, collectively referred to as "The Big Three." A major contributing factor to the celebratory title, "The Big Three," is a result of the smashing successes of these titles in the Weekly Shōnen Jump manga.
Both Naruto and Black Clover are basically the same anime, aslo made by the same studio. Both are about a young boy that is a Orphan that starts off weak but gets stronger over time, both main characters have the same loud personality and same dream to became the Wizard King(Asta) and (Naruto)Hokage.
The only thing I think that Demon Slayer has that surpasses Black Clover is animation and pacing. Other than that here are some of the reason why I think that Black Clover is better than Demon Slayer: Better Fight - Black Clover utilizes more teamwork and strategy than Demon Slayer.
The show's popularity grew in large part thanks to its tight and consistent schedule, constant character development, fight scenes, storyline and theme of "Never giving up is my magic." With so many magic knights squads out there, everyone can pick a favorite character, even from the ragtag crew of misfits and rebels ...
Black Clover has become massive, growing a tremendous worldwide fanbase and becoming one of the most popular anime of 2020. Arguably THE most popular anime of 2020 as it was the most-watched anime on Crunchyroll in 87 countries, the most of any series.
While U.S. fans are still warming up to the title, Black Clover's manga and anime have done rather well at home even with its newcomer status. Is black clover famous in Japan? Yes, it is a very popular anime in Japan.
It's entirely fair to say that Fairy Tail is a better series than Black Clover overall, or vise-versa. The former's pacing is superior, and its world is more colorful and idiosyncratic than Black Clover's, which hews far more closely to a typical Medieval Fantasy setting.
While the majority of these feelings belonged to Noelle as she was able to finally realize how she really felt about Asta (confirming what fans had suspected for a long time), the newest chapter of the series surprised fans when it was revealed that another character was actually holding back some romantic feelings as ...

Appropriate for kids, yet hides in more mature and dark material that adults would be more familiar with as well. The darker stuff is done in a way that you get the point more if your a adult, but not too gruesome that it would be bad for kids.
To begin with, Black Clover is very underrated.
In fact, overall sales for Black Clover in Japan pit it against titles like Tokyo Ghoul and Kingdom. In fact, Black Clover was able to beat out some of the top-performing manga titles internationally in sales. According to Oricon, the manga sold 2.03 million copies between November 2017 to May 2018.
It Falls Into The Shonen Genre. Black Clover is an anime series that deals with powerful magic, dangerous wizards, and stunning battle sequences. It’s an anime where action is omnipresent, but more specifically, it’s a show that fits into the broader shonen genre.
It’s easiest to catch new episodes of Black Clover either on Funimation or Crunchyroll, but the anime’s dub also airs on Adult Swim’s Toonami block, so there’s even an option for those that are restricted to broadcast television.
Pierrot have nearly been in the animation game for fifty years and they've been responsible for some of the biggest shonen anime series like Naruto, Bleach, and Yu Yu Hakusho. Black Clover is in good company with them and they've helped give the anime an appropriate look and style.
A common concern that's present in long-running anime series is how faithful they are to the source material manga and if they're bogged down by lengthy stretches of filler content. Many anime that come out when the manga is still in production have to deal with the problem of filler.
Black Clover has produced over 160 episodes over four seasons and there’s still a lot more on the way.
It Takes A Minute To Get Its Footing But It Steadily Improves. It’s very common for some anime to take time for them to properly find their footing and establish their characters. Often an anime’s first arc will exhibit the most growing pains and this is definitely true with Black Clover.
At first the series feels highly derivative of similar anime series, or even like a more action-heavy take on Harry Potter. Black Clover slowly finds more confidence in its storytelling and it’s able to move past its initial roots and do some genuinely creative things with both its heroes and villains.
Black clover is a shounen (also fantasy) anime, like Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, Jujutsu Kaisen, etc. It basically revolves around “magic”, but in a very sophisticated way. The organization called the “Magic Knights” are highly experienced mages who hold good ranks in the society.
Like in most long running shows, there is filler. It doesn’t happen very often initially, and there are only a handful of recap episodes in the now almost 170 episodes of the show, but then because the anime was catching up to the manga, it was decided they’ll create a sort of filler training arc. I personally find most “anime-canon” or “filler” in Black Clover enjoyable, but that is also dependent on what characters you like. There are some frustrating fillers and some with one or two inaccuracies, but they tend to be of a watchable quality. I’m not a fan of 135 and 137 but a lot of people actually loved that episode so it really depends on the person. Filler in Black Clover tends to expand a little on things that were only lightly touched upon and are unlikely to be discussed in much depth by the mangaka because of whatever reason. It also sometimes gives characters with less screentime in the manga more screentime here. Some of the best anime canon episodes in my opinion are 151 and 154 - 154 is pretty relevent to the manga-canon actually, and they both have great animation and art.
So the Anime is typical Shonen type. It has a standard protagonist like Naruto (and Luffy). He is simple minded, people look down on him and he is determined to change his life. He is on a journey to find strength and learn things that'll make him strong.
The action is really nice in Black Clover, with really well thought out team battles.
The openings and endings are pretty good. Some are even thought by most to be “bangers”. They have solid animation, art and music, although ultimately it is down to personal preference whether you’ll like an opening or not. Some people will joke that the studio spent half its budget on the openings. Whether this is true or not has yet to be confirmed, as far as I’m aware.
Black Clover is a shounen anime. So, as part of it’s tropes, the characters strive to become stronger to attain a goal and in the meantime develop as people and meet lots of new friends along the way. The power of friendship is also prevelent in this story, but not in quite the same way that say, Fairy Tail does.
Black Clover is a show that is in many ways the literal embodiment of its protagonist’s struggle. Asta goes from being the laughingstock of town to the literal saviour of the kingdom. During that internal journey, we also watched the anime gradually evolve and get better as time went on. Production qualities seemingly increased as the popularity increased as well. Asta’s journey
Even the music can't be understated. For as many as 13 sets of OSTs within the 3.5 year long run of Black Clover, we've definitely heard some "diamond in the rough" gems that we've gotten used to overtime, with many songs that really stick out to be the series' representatives when it comes to recognizing that it originated from Black Clover. Sound director Hajime Takakuwa certainly did wonders at what he does best, but for this one I have to give props to the many artists that have contributed cult-classic songs, from the OPs: Kankaku Piero's "Haruka Mirai" to Vickeblanca's hit songs "Black Rover" and "Black Catcher", and EDs: Itowokashi's "Aoi Honoo" to Faky's "four". These are just some of my top favourite songs from Black Clover, but there's just too many to list them, because most of them are bangers in their own right (with some just being decent at best).
If some terrorists brutally wounded a beloved character, the most logical route is for the main casts to go after them. And they do. If the vice-captain of the Golden Dawn is acting out of character, the most logical thinking is to seek out the true identity. And they do.
The only reason that some don't like it is because it's been done before, but that doesn't make something bad. There is nothing wrong with a good underdog story when done right , and when you realize that they (Asta and his brother Yuno, the two protagonists) are not simply fighting for themselves, but fighting for their class of people (the poor peasants vs the rich nobles) their character motivations are very clear. I really do think that the reason the elitist haters hate this is because they are comparing Black Clover to other animes instead of on its own merits, because this character motivation is a very honorable one that makes sense given where our heros Asta and Yuno come from and the world they find themselves in. In other words, the world, story, and characters are all internally consistent which is exactly what you want to see in any work of fiction. You see, there is a reason that the underdog story and fighting for others is a genre stereotype. It's because people like it. The final character (and third protagonist) we will talk about is Noelle. Her story is different and interesting (minor spoiler), as she is a noble who (presumably) chose to join the worst/lowest of the magic knights squads. Unlike Asta and Yuno, her character and backstory is not completely revealed yet, but it appears that she too has something to prove, untapped potential, and may just end up developing into a noble who is worthy of the title unlike so many other nobles in this series, who seem to be just horrible.
Black Clover, or, Black Clover as the gringos say, is the sophomore effort of mangaka Yuuki Tabata, and it is a far cry from his debut work, Hungry Joker. Hungry Joker had the unfortunate fate of being axed by the higher-ups at WSJ, thus is the fate of most new kids on the block who don't have a proper sense of what they are doing or are given little time to spread their wings.
Story 7, good: Interesting world and magic mechanics. I am eager to see how it plays out given the backstory about the wizard king destroying the demons and how it resolves itself with the fact that Asta (one of the protagonists) utilizes a demonic grimoire.
is extremely satisfying and well written. It’s done so well in fact, that it feels like we’ve been on this journey right with Asta. Everyone loves a feel good underdog story. There’s been no bigger underdog than Black Clover.
Black Clover is an awesome animation series that captured the hearts of many anime fans worldwide. It’s full of action, comedy, and magic. The anime was written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and Kanichi Katou.
Coming in as number one on my list is Fairy Tale. This interesting anime series is the closest to Black Clover. And just like Black Clover, it was a major hit, and its storyline gained the admiration of many fans.
This anime depicts the story of Shinra Kusakabe, who is a third-generation pyrokinetic youth.
For some, it's good ever since episode 1, for others it may be after 10, or 15-30 episodes. All you have to keep in mind is that long shonen usually get increasingly better after each arc, especially for Black Clover. Don't let 1 episode (or even a dozen) make you drop Black Clover, because I promise you you'll regret what you'll miss.
Don't let 1 episode (or even a dozen) make you drop Black Clover, because I promise you you'll regret what you'll miss. I hope it helped you understand, because Black Clover really is good just be patient. Push through it, I was like you and I changed my ways.
But nah, it's different for everyone but the pacing and Asta's voice gets a little better for most people by around 30 if they didn't like BC already. Also the fights after that tend to be good.
