Right now, the first two episodes of Scarlet Nexus are available subtitled, and in HD, on Funimation's YouTube channel. We have no idea whether or not this trend will continue as more episodes are released, but it sets a nice precedent, and makes for a good alternative to piracy.
You can find this anime being posted regularly and watch both the first and second episode over at the official Funimation Youtube channel. That said, the plot of Scarlet Guardians will follow a story around both of the game's main characters, Yuito, and Kasane and showcase their adventure and fight against the other threat.
Another cool perk of watching the Scarlet Guardians is that each episode will be around 25 minutes long and will contain hidden codes. Once you find these codes, they can then be redeemed in the game for a few awesome items via a certain NPC.

Licensing and cost mostly. There are many shows that have already been licensed and the owners don't want to work with Crunchyroll (CR) on distribution or they want exclusive rights because they're competitors. It's also a money thing. Probably costs a ton to keep all these shows licensed.
Funimation has merged with Crunchyroll – and it's changing how you watch anime. The two anime streaming services now fall under the 'Crunchyroll' name. With that comes a new wave of shows on the service, as well as an offer for current Funimation subscribers. There is no change in price, however.
Every Funimation anime series now available on Crunchyroll after merger.
As it stands, there's really not much to gain from watching the Scarlet Nexus TV show that you couldn't get from just playing the game. The game is vastly superior in all aspects outside of a few select extra scenes.
While there are no concrete plans for a Scarlet Nexus sequel, it did get a TV adaptation by Japanese studio Sunrise which, according to Iizuka, contributed to the popularity and sales of the game. Bandai Namco’s “Brain Punk” RPG, Scarlet Nexus, is not only an anime video game ( one we here at AOTF loved ), it has an anime series adaptation in the works. That means you can enjoy more time with Yuito and Kasane across two different mediums.

You might have been playing Bandai Namco's brand new Scarlet Nexus lately, but what you might not know - and what I certainly wasn't aware of before today - is that Scarlet Nexus also has an anime premiering alongside this release. The Scarlet Nexus anime is a faithful retelling of the game's story, and makes for a nice companion piece.
