According to a Crunchyroll spokesman, the "overwhelming majority" of titles will make it Crunchyroll eventually. Funimation will continue to stream new episodes of existing Winter 2022 series, but all new series will be streaming on Crunchyroll , including all new titles within the Spring anime season.
As of November 9, the partnership between Funimation and Crunchyroll will end, as well as Funimation's partnership with VRV. The reason is mostly due to AT&T's buyout of WarnerMedia, who owns both VRV and Crunchyroll, while Sony owns Funimation.
It was announced on March 1st that Funimation's content will be moving over to Crunchyroll to create “the world's largest anime library.”
Story: At times, I seem to have a weird love-hate relationship with the shoujo genre. The genre tends to have to balance a handful of tropes quite delicately – for example, creating romance that evolves and faces hardships without being melodramatic – and as such carries a very “hit-or-miss” feel to many series.
Was anyone else bothered by the anime putting a paragraph of text on screen and giving you 2 seconds to read it. I had to rewind and pause so many times to read the letters and it really disrupted the flow for me.
One day, Naho Takamiya receives a letter written to herself from ten years in the future. As Naho reads on, the letter recites the exact events of the day, including the transfer of a new student into her class named Kakeru Naruse.
Really sappy, really predictable, and really soft, but within it's genre, Orange is gold.
