If you access Crunchyroll using an app and not a web browser, your removal options are somewhat different. One of the easiest ways to delete shows from your queue is to right-click over the thumbnail and select Remove from Queue. You can also remove bookmarked items from your queue from the information page.
Just download the AdLock Android app and follow the intuitive installation process. Now you are just two simple steps away from getting rid of ads on the Crunchyroll app: In the app, tap on the three dots on the top right corner and choose Check updates.
It is not prohibited to try them out, of course, but as Crunchyroll admins shrewdly notice on the forum, you never know who is in charge of their servers, and how they are going to act when having the access to your account, personal data, and payment methods. But there is an outstandingly good exception to this rule.
But don’t rush to shout “shut up and take my money” just yet, as you can try the ad-free version without paying first using a Guest Pass. Although not heavily advertised by Crunchyroll, this Premium users benefit allows them to receive a monthly code which then works as an invitation ticket for their friends.
Sometimes, all good things must come to an end, and for Crunchyroll, that means quite a few shows will be leaving their streaming service on March 31. According to Crunchyroll, the following shows will be making their exit: Akame ga Kill!
The reason behind the removal is an expired licence mainly. Basically, Crunchyroll acquires a limited-time licence from the producers of the anime in order to stream on the site. We assume an expired licence is not renewed when the show has less popularity or has been around for a long time.
It adds a small checkmark in the upper left corner of each show picture. Clicking it will at it to a 'watched' list and remove it from the default view. There is a link that will toggle these removed shows back into the view if you wish.
if you go into your setting you should have an app or application settings bar. on this you can view all your apps which are installed if you go down and find crunchyroll and click on it you should see a box which will clear all the cached data.
The short answer is that the license expired and wasn't renewed.

Let the binging continue! Bad news for anime lovers. Crunchyroll, considered the prime anime streaming service, has changed its subscription model—meaning no more free episodes of your fave series. Instead, the popular site is switching to charging monthly, with fees ranging between $11 to $21.
Crunchyroll will no longer offer free ad-supported streaming for newly-released episodes, the anime streaming service announced in an update on its site (via Gizmodo). Viewers who want to watch episodes of new or continuing series will have to upgrade to one of Crunchyroll's premium plans, which start at $7.99 / month.
Crunchyroll caused a stir over the weekend when it announced that it will no longer be offering simulcast episodes on a free, ad-supported basis. Some users took that to mean that Crunchyroll, which was acquired by Funimation in August 2021, would become an entirely premium service.
I'm seriously deaf and angry. Is Crunchyroll been too lazy (no offense) for not adding Closed Caption on English and other language Dub? I mean Funimation and HiDive have Closed Captions on English Dubs.
Luckily I’m in my account, but I cannot change my password or the email, which both has been changed. In other words, I can’t update my password without access to the hacked email and I can’t change the password without the current (hacked) password. I’ve contacted VRV, but I haven’t heard anything back.
Crunchyroll is a paid service so I expect it to be better than the free sites, but it just isn't. The shows arrive late, and its horrible to use. Like when I try to switch seasons in a show it gives me the option to change dub? How does that make sense.
This anime falls into my top 5. It's easily the best that Crunchyroll has produced in my opinion, and I need to see more of the story. I understand that it has some issues when compared to the source material, but I think this adaptation stands on its own without any problems. When are we getting season 2, Crunchyroll!?
Logs me out randomly at least once a week. The login code never EVER works so I get to type out my full email account and password with a controller and on screen keyboard. Can't resume an episode half of the time. Crashes randomly sometimes.
Having Season 1 being something like the Portuguese or Season 3 being the English dub is bad sorting. Why do I have to look at Season 9 for the original dub.
To be precise, there are four placeholders for the ads within any video on Crunchyroll: One pre-roll (15 seconds); Four ads at the beginning of the episode (30-seconds each); Four mid-rolls (30-seconds each); Four post-rolls (15, 30, 30 and 20 seconds). Oh yeah, there’s no way to skip Crunchyroll ads — you gotta watch ‘em all.
Many ad blocking browser extensions promise users to block Crunchyroll ads at no cost. However, often such promises need to be taken with a fair amount of skepticism. In a constant fight for their advertising budgets, the platform keeps on coming up with new technologies able to bypass the ad blockers.
Ads on Crunchyroll are all related to anime. Which would maybe sound not too bad to anyone, but the real anime fans. Those hunting for the best pieces of Japanese animation don’t appreciate such ads for a simple reason — they are full of spoilers. Video ads are designed to raise interest, and they do — the most interesting plot twists, some key points of the whole journey lasting a few seasons, can be shown directly at the beginning of the show.
Due to the fact that Crunchyroll is a completely legal website serving high-quality anime shows all over the globe, there’s no wonder that it must pay huge bills. Not only the server maintenance and salaries to employees are here to take into account but something even more costly — licenses for the shows themselves.
Crunchyroll users hang together at all times, so their subreddit is a place to watch. Every Thursday premium users share their Guest Passes there, but you gotta be quick to grab one before anyone else does.
Unlike the illegal streaming platforms, Crunchyroll is actually purchasing the broadcasting rights from creators and distributors. Given that most of the views come from the users who don’t pay the premium subscription, ads are the only way for Crunchyroll to monetize their activity and to be able to keep on going.
