First, the length and width of the face are measured. Once this is done, the length is divided by the width. The ideal result is considered the Golden Ratio which should equal 1.6. This means a beautiful person's face is about 1 ½ times longer than it is wide.
The distance between our nostril's outer edges should be equal to the distance between the inner and the outer corners of the eyes. The distance from the top of our nose to the center of the lips should be 1.6 times the distance from the middle of the lips to the bottom of our chin.
An average person is generally 7-and-a-half heads tall (including the head).

Place a horizontal mark for the chin underneath the circle. Find the distance from the center of the circle to the line you drew for the nose. Measure down from the bottom of the circle (or the nose line) to the distance you just found and make a small horizontal mark on the vertical center line.
If you want to make a simple nose, just put a dot on the point where the nose guide line and the vertical center line intersect.
1. Place ears on the sides of the head between the eye and nose lines. The top and bottom of each ear will line up with the eye and nose lines you drew earlier. Sketch oblong C-shapes between the guide lines for your ears so they connect to the sides of the circle and jawline.

Outline the jaw for your character. Start on either the left or right side of the circle at its widest point. Draw a line from the side of the circle that’s slightly angled toward the vertical center line. Continue drawing the line until you reach the mark you made for the nose.
1. Draw a circle on your paper with a vertical line running through the middle. Use a pencil so you’re able to erase your lines if you make a mistake. Lightly draw the circle in the center of a piece of paper so you have room to add features to it.
For a female character, place the lines for the neck closer to the chin so it’s narrower. Make straight vertical lines extending from the jaw on each side of the face to make the neck. Younger manga or anime characters will have a narrow neck since they aren’t as muscular or defined.
Anime mouths are usually drawn without lips but you can add them if you want a more realistic looking mouth. Position the mouth with the bottom lip halfway between the bottom of the nose and the bottom of the chin. Draw the mouth itself as a curve with a break in the middle where the lines curve slightly downwards.
To do this by draw a horizontal line through the middle of the face and draw the eyes below that line. Space the eyes so that you can fit another eye between them.

This method is a baseline to a typical head and does not serve as a concrete rule to varying head shapes and proportions! Anime boy eyes drawing. To draw the eyes you can once again use the horizontal line through the middle of the head. Draw the eyes directly below this line. Again note that real eyes are typically drawn directly on this line or above it. Anime characters generally have their eyes drawn much lower down on the face.
To draw the head in the front view first draw a vertical line to help you insure that both sides are equal. Draw the top of the head close to a half-circle and from that draw two downwards lines going towards one another . Draw another set of lines from those lines that will meet to form the chin.
