A “striped” anime blush is made with just a few line strokes and is fairly easy to draw. Simply make two sets of angled lines around the cheek areas. For a nicer looking blush make the outer stripes a bit shorter and the inner stripes a bit longer. Aim for a combined shape that can fit inside a stretched oval.

Anime mouths are usually drawn without lips but you can add them if you want a more realistic looking mouth. Position the mouth with the bottom lip halfway between the bottom of the nose and the bottom of the chin. Draw the mouth itself as a curve with a break in the middle where the lines curve slightly downwards.
To do this by draw a horizontal line through the middle of the face and draw the eyes below that line. Space the eyes so that you can fit another eye between them.
Realistic anime head drawing. Anime characters generally have fairly round faces. The bottom portion of an anime face is commonly drawn with two major sets of lines, one going down from the top of the head to around the mouth area and one more from there to the chin.
To better understand how to draw the hair it can also be very helpful to think of it as being split into tree parts (as shown in the example above): 1 Red – Front Hair 2 Green – Side Hair 3 Blue – Back/Top Hair
Drawing a realistic looking anime face is a little more challenging than drawing a “standard” anime or manga style face. While the actual drawing process itself is not much more difficult the challenge comes in balancing between semi-realistic facial features and maintaining an anime look.

Draw the eye below the vertical halfway point of the head, draw the nose roughly between that and the chin, draw the bottom lip roughly between the chin and the nose with the mouth slightly above it. Draw the ear s starting from the top of the yes to roughly ...
Though actual irises of the eyes don’t change size they are often drawn smaller in anime to give a character a really scared look. As anime eyes tend to already be fairly wide drawing them even wider may make a character look too deformed so the solution is to draw smaller irises.
For an upset look (more so than the previous example) draw the eyebrows raised towards the nose with the eyes squinted. Draw the mouth slightly longer than in the previous example with the mouth corner going a little further downwards.
For drawing an open mouth an important thing to note is that the jaw will be lower down. Also keep in mind that it is only the lower jaw that moves when the mouth is opens. The upper jaw stays in place.
For a wider open mouth be away that the jaw does not drop directly down when the mouth opens but also swings backwards towards the neck. Draw the jaw lower down and farther back towards the neck.
Anime girl ears drawing. To place the ears first draw a horizontal line directly though the middle of the head and then draw another line between that and the chin. Draw the ears between these two lines.
Most female anime characters tend to have big eyes, a small mouth, nose and chin and a fairly round face. The lips are usually either very lightly defined or not drawn at all.
Anime girl face drawing. You can add some very basic shading to your drawing to make it stand out a lot more. Anime uses what is known as “Cel” style shading (basically shading with no gradients) which generally makes shading fair fast and easy. The way the shading is applied will be determined by two things.
The bottom lip will be positioned between the nose and the bottom of the chin. Draw the mouth itself slightly above that.
Before drawing a pouting anime or manga character it’s a good idea to know what they will look like with their normal expression. This makes it easier to see how much you should adjust the shape of their face and facial features. For the character used in this tutorial you can see their normal expression above.
The ears are positioned between the top of the eyes and the bottom of the nose. The mouth is placed by first determining the position of the bottom lip (between the nose and the chin) and then drawn slightly above that. For a detailed step by step breakdown of drawing a female anime face similar to this one see:
Pouting faces tend to primarily be drawn in two views, the front view (looking directly at the viewer) and the 3/4 view. The front view is commonly used to show a “ticked off” character while the 3/4 view is used for situations where in addition to being “ticked off” the character is also shy or embarrassed (often looking away from the viewer).
A pouting face is a very common expression in anime and manga. It can be a tiny bit more tricky to draw because unlike many other expressions where only the facial features are adjusted it also “warps” the shape of the face with the puffed up cheeks. Pouting faces tend to primarily be drawn in two views, the front view ...
