Start by drawing the head without any of the small details. In the front view you can draw a circle to help you get the shape of the top of the head. In the side view it will be a slight oval. For more on drawing anime heads and faces see: How to Draw an Anime Girl’s Head and Face.
Start by drawing some lines that indicate each item of clothing. Draw these lines in smooth curves that hug the shape of the body.
Anime girl leg structure. The legs should be about half the length of the entire body. The feet (when drawing the side view) should be about as long as the distance from the wrists to the elbow. For more on drawing the legs see: How to Draw Female Anime Legs Tutorial.
If we were doing a more realistic looking style the body would be about as wide as two heads side by side (not including the hair). But since we are drawing anime draw the head slightly bigger than that so the body will be smaller in comparison.
One of the most important thing to keep in mind when drawing the full figure is the proportions or the relation of one body part to another. Everything has to be the right size or your character will look odd.
The shape of the body (when drawing the front view) should be similar to an hourglass.
If you are drawing two views at once you can add the horizontal lines to make sure that the different body parts match up in both views. Drawing both views at once is a good exercise. If you are good at drawing one particular body part in one view but not so much in another this can help you.
Position the ears with their tops slightly below the top of the eyes and their bottoms slightly below the bottom of the nose. For this particular character the ears will be drawn slightly smaller and slightly lower down than is recommended for other character types here on AnimeOutline.
Make the mouth fairly small with a very slight downwards curve. It’s very important not to draw too much of a curve or the character can get an unhappy looking expression.
The large forehead adds to the “cuteness” while the big but slightly narrower (than common in anime) eyes give her a bit of a more mature face. The raised eyebrows with the downwards curved mouth gives just a tiny bit of “condescending” look (not necessarily negative), sort of like a queen or someone of the upper class. At the same time it’s still a fairly relaxed and natural looking expression.
One is that seeing the exact size of the head makes it easier to place the facial features (as was shown in the previous steps). Another is that drawing in such a way helps to avoid many potential mistakes.
To position the eyes you can horizontally divide the head in two as shown with the example above . For the “beautiful girl” character you can then place the eyes slightly below this halfway point. the large forehead will add to the “cuteness”.
Draw the nose itself close to a tiny oval in shape with the side closer to the center of the face slightly flatter.
At this stage you can simply outline the basic shape of the eyes without drawing all of the smaller details such as the eyelashes.
1. Make an outline of the anime girl using stick figures and shapes. First, sketch a circle for the head. Add an angled shape on the lower part of the circle for the chin and jaw. Use a line for the neck down to where the pelvis would be located. Draw an inverted dome shape for the thorax and attach more lines to the limbs.
Sketch the eyes. Position it with the help of the crossed line as an outline. Add small curved strokes for the eyebrows. Sketch an angle for the nose and two small curved line for the lips to make the character looks like she is smiling.
Design a hairstyle for your anime character. You can use curved strokes to make the hair look wavy or make the hair limp, as if it were wet. Add a C shape on each side for the ears, peeking a little from the thick hair of your anime girl.
First, sketch a circle for the head. Add an angled shape on the lower part of the circle for the chin and jaw. Use a short line for the neck. Connect a curved line from the neck down to where the pelvis would be located. Draw a four-pointed shape for the thorax and attach more lines for the limbs.
3. Sketch the eyes. Position it, or, more conventionally them, with the help of the crossed line as an outline. Add small curved strokes for the eyebrows. Sketch an angle for the nose and a small curved line for the lips. ...
Choose a design for the character’s outfit. School uniforms are a common choice. A simple blazer and pleated skirt would be nice.
Anime is a style of animation/drawing originating from Japan. Most anime drawings include exaggerated physical features such as large eyes, big hair and elongated limbs. In this tutorial, you will learn how to draw an anime school girl, an anime girl in swimwear, a teenage anime girl, and a younger/child anime girl. Steps.
While artists have varying preferences about how to structure an anime character’s head and face, they all start with the same basic principle: First draw a circle, and then draw a horizontal line and vertical line directly ...
Start by sketching a curved upper eyelid, then draw a short line extending down from the outer corner of the eye. Leave the inner corner of the eye open for a softer look. Then, add a circle in the middle of the eye as the iris. Draw a smaller circle—the pupil—in the middle of the iris.
When drawing anime characters, the eyes are typically a focal point, while the nose and mouth remain simple.
The legs of an anime character should be approximately as long as the top half of the character, from the top of the head to the waist. Finally, add in the arms. A good rule of thumb is to align the elbow with the character’s waist, and then extend the rest of the arm (including the hand) to about mid-thigh.
The basic anatomy of an anime face starts with a circle with a vertical line and horizontal line directly through the center.
Leave the inner corner of the eye open for a softer look. Then, add a circle in the middle of the eye as the iris. Draw a smaller circle—the pupil—in the middle of the iris. To create primary and secondary light reflections, add in one or two additional circles within the iris.
While you will mostly ink with a black pen, it can also be helpful to have a white jelly pen on hand—you can use this to add highlights, like the reflection points in the character’s eyes. You may also choose to add additional colors with colored pencils or medium of your choice.
Going down from the bottom portion of the head draw the neck. As this is a somewhat stylized anime character the neck should be fairly thin in relation to the head.
Draw the clumps right over top of the outline of the ears and head. You can then erase the bottom parts of the ears (ares where they are covered up) but leave the outline of the head to help you place the rest of the hair.
To finish the drawing you can add bit of shading and a bit of gradient around the blush lines.
Inside each eye draw the pupil with a pair of highlights. You can also show a bit of the eyelids by drawing a small curved line just little bit above (closer to the inner end) each eye. Next fill in the eyelashes with black or pencil shading and add some hints of individual lashes.
To place the eyes divine the head in half vertically by drawing a straight line and place them just a tiny bit below it.
In this case the fox girl will have a light smile. To make the mouth look a little more animal like draw the smile with show curves that are broken up in the middle.
Going down from the circle draw the bottom portion of the head. It should get narrower as it goes down beginning with a pair of angled straight lines that transition into a pair of curves around the cheek ares. These should then change into a pair of straight lines again that go towards the bottom middle of the head and are finally joined by the small curve of the chin.
This tutorial shows how to draw an anime panda girl or to be more precise an anime girl wearing a panda hoodie in fifteen steps.
Start with a straight vertical line through the middle of your drawing area. Near the top of this line draw a circle to represent the top of head and be sure to leave some room above that so that you can later fit in the hoodie and the panda ears on top of it.
Draw the outer shape of the hoodie first. Afterwards draw the inner opening followed by the folds. Add some folds to the outer sides of the arms as well as some wrinkles around the armpit areas. Also add a placket (the part where the buttons are attached) running down the middle of the hoodie starting from just below the shoulders.
Make the irises and hair brown. You can make the face/neck a very light orange/pink. Leave the rest white .
Generally shadows form based on how the subject is illuminated. In this case the character will have fairly generic shading as though she is in a well lit room or outdoors during the day with the main light source somewhere above her.
In the example above the volume of the hair is shown in red and the outline of the hoodie over top of it is shown in blue. You do not necessarily have to outline the hair as was done in the example but at least keep in mind that there will be some distance between the outline of the head and the fabric.
Please note that the ear will actually be hidden by the hair so there is no need to draw them. However, their placement is still shown for reference in case you want to draw a different hairstyle.
