Female anime eyes are usually bigger and rounder than male anime eyes. Make the eyes about 1/6th the height of the head and 1/4th the width of the head, if you're drawing one. That way, they'll look big and exaggerated.

You can draw upper and lower eyelids by making thin curved lines. And make one circle in middle for the pupil.
To add a pupil take any round and smooth brush and make a big dark dot in the middle of an eye. Then smudge it from the upper side.
Anime eyes are also very cute and easy to draw. You don’t have to be realistic to draw them. Sometimes they are Emphasispoints in the characters.
A basic understanding of the anatomy of the eye. Knowing common elements that make most eyes look like anime eyes. A step-by-step approach to drawing anime eyes while implementing these common elements. A quick note, before going further, I will use the term anime to mean both anime and manga for simplicity.
We also discovered that anime eye drawings simplify real world anatomy in specific ways. I found seven ways actually, you may find more, but the basic seven simplifications in anime eyes are as follows.
– the iris is a ring shaped membrane, with an adjustable circular opening (pupil) in the center. The iris is what people talk about when they talk about eye color. (Some people confuse it with the pupil, so here is a tip to remember it better: eye color = iris color)
You only need to know eight (8) anatomy terms of the eye, most, if not all, of which you probably already know. This knowledge in this case is required mainly for purposes of placement and understanding the rest of the article.
With that said, here are seven common elements present in most anime drawings of eyes.
Degrees of realism and stylization. In anime and manga, eyes are drawn in various degrees of stylization. Human anatomy in anime is stylized often to the point of being unrealistic, yet still very recognizable as the anime counterpart of the real world person the artwork is describing. This is an important point.
No, you don’t have to draw a hundred of them like I did, just draw one, get a feel for it, then decide what you want to draw next!
Anime eyes are generally very simple, just a mere reflection of the realistic ones we have on our faces; but this DOESN'T make them any less deep or important. You can simply cut down complicated shapes into more soft and simple ones; for example, most anime eyes are totally lacking the Tear Duct, or the lower eyelio.
This is the most used and common shape used to make anime eyes; and I think you can quite figure why: most protagonists have round eyes, mostly because they are gentle, and you have to feel secure when you look at them. So, if you're characther is sweet in the heart, a pair of cute, round eyes are the best for him.
Adding Lights. With a gentle brush and an ADD GLOW layer, let's pick a bright light-blue color and create super soft brush strokes in the bottom corner of the eye; this will add light to the eye without being too much or too little. I used the SOFT Hairbrush brush.
So, if you're characther is sweet in the heart, a pair of cute, round eyes are the best for him. This is also a shape that you can identify in a lot of anime eyes, and it can have two meanings; not necessarely a characther with "triangular " eyes is going to be evil, maybe he/she is just pretty strong .
Add more color effect with purple or another color of your liking to the iris using an OVERLY layer and a gentle brush.
Start by adding the base color of your liking, and then in a multiply layer start adding shadows with a gentle brush; (I'm mostly gonna use Watercolors one); create gentle strokes starting from the top corner of the iris.
Adding details with CLIP STUDIO PAINT it extremely easy; this is why it's the best tool to create anime content. It has a WHOLE section where you can use sparkly and cute brushes to add details in either your pieces or your manga sheets! I personally use these A LOT and I added the Sparkle A and the *soft* circle to my piece to make it look cuter.
An artist from Twitter, ERASERTHIRST drew a picture featuring two of the most well-known characters from the superhero anime and manga series, My Hero Academia showing how awesome the series could be in a '90s based art style.
One of the most popular looks of these different eras is that of retro anime from the 80s with 90's style being a good runner-up. Many fans even just look back at these eras for the aesthetics alone without even actually watching ...
Another piece by Heart_Puff is this one of the breakout character, Zero Two, from the Cloverworks and Trigger anime Darling in the Franxx. This image makes it feel as if one could have actually been watching this series back in the '90s, as its style, along with the character headlining the piece really fit the bill.
BlueTheBone also decided to show how well the Little Witch Academia series would fit in a more '90s style and proves it perfectly. Just seeing this image shows exactly how perfectly the series fits in the era.
Danganronpa doesn't seem like it would have ever been a thing in the '90s , at least in US markets, due to the odd nature of the series that wouldn't catch on back then. However, this piece by Tamagokidd really makes a good argument for it.
This piece stars the breakout character of the series, Nezuko, and it really shows that in the '90s she could have been even cuter. From the hair to the eyes, this picture really nails ...
Puella Magi Madoka Magica is an anime that looks like it could fit right into the '90s character design-wise, if not for the fact that it needed those old magical girl anime of the era to exist to even become a thing.
