The number of seasons for an anime show is chosen at the start of the production, according to the producer in an interview. Only if the first season exceeds their expectations will they reconsider and produce the second season. Citrus, unfortunately, did not produce the intended results, and it will most likely not be repeated.

A 12-episode anime television series adaptation by Passione aired from January to March 2018. A sequel manga titled Citrus Plus began serialization in December 2018. Yuzu Aihara, a fashionable, spontaneous and fun-loving city girl, transfers to a new neighborhood and high school after her mother's remarriage to another man.
Sad news for Citrus fans, Studio Passione has not renewed Citrus for Season 2 yet. Despite having a huge fan base for the Yuri series, the anime adaptation received low ratings and a couple of not-so-favorable critical reviews on IMDB and MyanimeList.
Citrus comes the closest I've seen to evoking the feeling of a pulp lesbian romance novel. Yes, it's absurd and dirty and over-the-top, but it also embraces that, and aspects of it are more thoughtful than your initial impressions might suggest.
Winter of Love is the 13th chapter of the Citrus manga. It was released on November 18th, 2015.
Sign in to vote. If you're looking for a heavy drama and comedy yuri anime, Citrus is the best. Citrus is one of the finest anime and manga I've ever watched and read. Both Mei and Yuzu has a sad back story that I think can be relatable to viewers.
Overall, the anime is very entertaining and for a drama about Yuri, it is very well done. If the thought of watching an anime about Yuri REALLY bothers you, then don't watch it. If you choose to not watch, you'll really be missing out on an excellent drama.
Watch all you want.
The Yuri Citrus manga first began serializing in Comic Yuri Hime back in 2012. Written and illustrated by mangaka Saburouta, the ongoing manga series apparently gets its name from the fact that the Yuzu fruit is a sour citric hybrid (the juice makes a vinaigrette or the Japanese ponzu dipping sauce).
Later on she finds out that Mei is in relationship with Yuzu, and supports their relationship.
‘Citrus’ Season 1 premiered on January 6, 2018 and went on till March 24, 2018. This 12-episode anime series is adapted from a Japanese Yuri Manga series written and illustrated by Saburouta. Till date, the manga has had a total of 36 chapters and the author has been consistently releasing new volumes every four to six months. Most of the manga readers love how closely the anime is adapted and how every detail in the manga has been covered. That’s partially the reason why this show has been accepted so well by most viewers. Even the pacing of the anime is almost like the manga and it ends exactly how the 4th volume of the source material concludes.
So, our best guess is that ‘Citrus’ Season 2 might only release sometime after 2020. Till then, if you’re dying to know more about how its story unfolds, you can start reading the manga.
Citrus Season 2: Premiere Date, Characters, Plot. On the outside, ‘Citrus’ is an anime about an incestuous lesbian relationship, which is quite a common theme for many adult anime these days. But most people fail to look beyond its basic premise and overlook what it truly tires to offer. While it does have scenes that portray assaults, ...

She seems to have been the one to introduce Nina to Momoiro Shimai, and is also the school's Student Council President, being the complete opposite of Mei at that. Udagawa (宇田川) The manager of the café where Yuzu worked part-time for some time in order to buy her a ring.
What the HELL did I just watch? Positives first, fantastic animation and sound quality. I watched the dub, and the voice acting was pretty good. So props to the studio (Passione)... But those were the best aspects of the anime. Everything else falls very short. I mean really short.
I'm here for the EDS group watch. Anyways, I kind of liked this series, but it was maybe a little too melodramatic at times. I also didn't like Matsuri, and while I don't hate Mei she did frustrate me at times. That said, I liked the animation and despite it's flaws I still got some enjoyment from this series.
During the summer of her freshman year of high school, Yuzu Aihara's mother remarried, forcing her to transfer to a new school. To a fashionable socialite like Yuzu, this inconvenient event is just another opportunity to make new friends, fall in love, and finally experience a first kiss.
Citrus adapts the first 4 volumes of Saburota's manga series by the same title.

With the first season of anime for 2018 coming to a close, it's time to take a look at what made this season great and what made it awful.
The Citrus anime came out at the start of 2018. However, the manga finished in August 2018. Since the anime would have been in production for a while, we can't just assume that whatever chapter was released in December 2017 is what got into the anime.
Episode 12 of the anime ended in with chapter 16 of the manga. However they changed the ending to make a bit anime original so you might want to check out chapter 16. If you don't include extra chapters manga ends at chapter 41. 10 volumes in total.
