After years of hearing about Berserk I finally settled down and binged the entire run in two nights. All I can say is that I'm emotionally crushed. I've never encountered a story like this.
Berserk fans are finally close to getting Chapter 364 of the popular manga series. The upcoming chapter will presumably end the series; however, there's a small chance that the Berserk manga might continue. Written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura, Berserk is a popular Japanese manga that began in 1989.
Berserk's posthumous 364th chapter is likely the end of the late Kentaro Miura's epic manga series, but it promises hope in a world full of suffering. Warning! Spoilers ahead for Berserk chapter 364!

Will Berserk Ever End? As of June 2022, it was confirmed that Kentaro Miura's team known as Studio Gaga, will continue writing Berserk. The manga has gone on for a very long time, and there is no indication about an ending being planned soon - so we can assume that Studio Gaga will, eventually, complete Berserk.
This series is a direct continuation of the Golden Arc trilogy of 'Berserk' films. These films are a condensed version of the 1997 series that was based on the manga of the same name.
The 1997 series broadly follows the manga story but is missing a few key plot points (such as the character that resolves the situation at the end of that series, paving the way to the current series). The recent Berserk movie series is a retelling of the same story as the 1997 series.
A modern manga masterpiece, Berserk's five story arcs thus far are some of the best written in the medium.

Berserk (manga) Berserk. (manga) Berserk ( Japanese: ベルセルク, Hepburn: Beruseruku) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. Set in a medieval Europe-inspired dark fantasy world, the story centers on the characters of Guts, a lone mercenary, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the "Band of the Hawk".
While briefly working as an assistant to George Morikawa at 18, Miura had already planned some ideas for Berserk ' s development, having a dark warrior with a gigantic sword illustrated in his portfolio who would be the first conception of Guts. Miura submitted manuscripts to a shōnen manga magazine for about four years before working for Hakusensha. However, he felt that he was not capable enough for it and they were also not interested in publishing science fiction or fantasy works. In 1988, while working with Buronson on a manga titled King of Wolves, Miura published a prototype of Berserk in Hakusensha's Gekkan ComiComi. This 48-page prototype placed 2nd at the 7th ComiComi ' s Manga-School prize. He later submitted his work to a magazine that, at the time, "was on the verge of going under", and he was switched around between several editors before meeting his first editor. The serialization of Berserk began in Hakusensha's Monthly Animal House in 1989. Miura commented that he landed the serial as soon as he made his debut, so he never had the opportunity to receive much criticism from editors.
As of May 2021, the Berserk manga had over 50 million copies in circulation, including digital versions, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time. It received the Award for Excellence at the 6th installment of the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2002.

Berserk explores a wide range of themes and topics. Free will and destiny are discussed within the series. Human resilience is a recurring theme, with many characters coming from horrible backgrounds, constantly struggling against an unjust world. Guts struggles with destiny itself and is constantly resisting the pull of predetermination. Griffith also embodies this idea of resilience, by chasing his dream of ruling his own kingdom, despite his lowborn origins, as well the free will, by his own decision to sacrifice the Band of the Hawk in order to achieve his dream.
Written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura, Berserk debuted in Hakusensha 's Monthly Animal House [ ja] in August 1989 (October issue). Hakusensha published the first tankōbon volume of Berserk under its Jets Comics imprint on November 26, 1990. In 1992, Monthly Animal House was renamed Young Animal, and new chapters are still being irregularly released in the semimonthly magazine. In June 2016, Hakusensha's Jets Comics imprint was rebranded as Young Animal Comics and the first thirty-seven volumes of Berserk were re-published with new cover arts. Various studios, such as GEMBA, Millepensee, and Liden Films were involved with the production of the series.
The films were animated using CGI but were executed in a two-dimensional format in order to mimic the 1997 series.
The third film takes place after Guts has left the Band of the Hawk and his return to help them once they have been declared outlaws, with Griffith imprisoned. While Griffith is shown to have become broken from the torture he's endured, a solar eclipse looms in the background, about to send the characters to another dimension.
The plot of the film revolves around the Band of the Hawk getting involved in the Midland war campaign and venture to the Doldrey fortress.
Technically, this series is sometimes considered the second season of the 2016 series, although it is sometimes considered a separate series. This version adapted the Hawk of the Millennium Empire arc of the manga.
