I think Lucy is partially the reason why Natsu didn’t die, but don’t forget earlier Natsu was close to death as well, because his demon and dragon seed were too close to each other and were about to merge. Once they would do that, he would die. He had to choose to be either a dragon, or demon, but instead he chose to be human. that may have been another reason why Natsu didn’t die either.

Is Sakura useless in Shinobi?

Right, okay when we first met her, she was your typical love-struck teenage girl, but in the Shin obi business, yes she was honestly quite useless. It was like all she could do was try but fail and having to have Kakashi, Sasuke or Naruto there to save her. I also feel like her love for Sasuke was a tad too drastic, like she was willing to leave and betray the village with Sasuke. Some things I liked about her were, how she could see and compare herself to her teammates, diving into late Naruto, she started to understand where she is on the scale compared to Naruto etc. Though despite all negative things, there was some good characteristics to her here, her chakra control for example; I believe this was back when Jiraiya first met Naruto, I vaguely remember him saying something along the lines of, “Without good chakra control, a shinobi is ultimately useless.” Something like that, and the fact that Sakura had better control of her chakra then Sasuke and Naruto did, showed she could do some things that she had better control over then her two teammates did.
