In the April 2021 edition of Monthly G Fantasy, the manga by HERO and Daisuke Hagiwara “Horimiya” has officially ended. Chapter 122 was the final one, and it released in Japan today on March 18. Having started serialization on October 18. 2011, it means that it has run for exactly 9 years and 5 months!
Unfortunately the last episode of Horimiya adapted the very last chapter of the manga, so if you are planning to pick up the manga where the anime ended, you are unable to do so. If you are curious about what the anime has adapted, try checking this post out. The end of anime was the last episode of Manga. The 12 episode was 64 in Manga.
The anime series first began as the Hori-san Miyamura-kun manga, self-published by Hiroki Adachi, under his name of Hero through his own website from 2007 until the year 2011. Square Enix licensed the series in 2011 under the brand new name Horimiya.
They are also behind Wonder Egg Priority and the 2nd season of The Promised Neverland this season! Horimiya manga has run for over 9 years, and although it ended, we should all congratulate HERO, Daisuke Hagiwara and all the staff involved on the hugely successful run!
Despite this lovely resolution for Miyamura and the students' graduation, the Horimiya finale ultimately still leaves something to be desired. Fittingly, Hori is annoyed that she didn't get to meet Miyamura's parents at the ceremony.
To remove any misconceptions or concerns, readers should be aware that the show has not been renewed for a second season by the streaming platform or the show's creators. Despite positive reviews and intriguing content, we are unlikely to see another season of this show.
Daisuke Hagiwara adapted the manga under Hero's supervision under the title Horimiya (ホリミヤ), which was serialized in Monthly G Fantasy from October 2011 to March 2021, and is published in English by Yen Press. An anime television series adaptation of Horimiya by CloverWorks aired from January to April 2021.
Miyamura, in turn, asks Hori to marry him. As of now in the manga, they are engaged. Later in the webcomic ending, it is revealed that they both got married (which now makes her Kyouko Miyamura) and they both have a son named Kyouhei Miyamura.
To confirm, yes, Hori and Miyamura did it! This is an exact mirror from the manga where, in Chapter 37, Hori and Miyamura slept together and did it. It was also revealed in the manga that they did not use protection.
Horimiya Episode 13 wraps up with the series' trademark mix of humor and affection, but leaves a number of plot points still unresolved. By Joe Ballard Published Apr 06, 2021.
The overarching theme of the finale, however, is the recap and conclusion to Miyamura's journey from a highly self-conscious and silent loner to a happy young man whose life is now full of color and meaning.
Despite this lovely resolution for Miyamura and the students' graduation, the Horimiya finale ultimately still leaves something to be desired. Fittingly, Hori is annoyed that she didn't get to meet Miyamura's parents at the ceremony. Miyamura says both -- including his father, who has never been seen on screen -- were there but left shortly after.
‘Horimiya’ season 1 premiered on January 10, 2021, and ran for 13 episodes before concluding on April 4, 2021. CloverWorks Studios developed the anime, with Masashi Ishihama serving as the director and Takao Yoshioka as the writer. Masaru Yokoyama provided the score, while Haruko Iizuka handled the character designs. You Kamiyama performed the opening theme “Color Perfume (Iro Kousui),” and Friends sang the ending theme track “Promise (Yakusoku).”
The ‘Horimiya’ TV anime has caught up with the manga series, which concluded with the publication of chapter 122 in March 2021. The final episode is mostly an adaptation of the 122nd chapter, depicting the graduation day for the students of Katagiri Senior High School.
Kyoko is a homebody who can be quite aggressive depending on the circumstances, while Izumi is a mild-mannered punk with multiple tattoos and piercings.
Izumi confesses his feelings to Kyoko in episode 4, and they start dating in the following episode. The anime is only faithfully emulating the manga’s speed, and such rapid development is one of many aspects that make ‘Horimiya’ such a wholesome watch.
Fortunately, there is other ‘Horimiya’ content that the show’s massive fanbase can look forward to even if there is no future season of the TV anime. On November 23, 2020, talent agency Horipro revealed that they were developing a live-action TV rendition of the manga.
The 13-episode anime is based on a web manga series that was initially written and illustrated by Hiroki Adachi under the name Hero and originally released on her website from 2007 until 2011. Daisuke Hagiwara eventually adapted the story and illustrated it as the popular manga series known as "Horimiya," which is published by Monthly GFantasy and serves as the basis for the anime.
Until we learn more, though, you can always rewatch the first season of "Horimiya," which is now streaming with subtitles on Hulu. It's also available in the U.S. on Funimation, which offers both an English dub of the series and the option to view it with subtitles.
But additional cast members who appeared in Season 1 include Yurie Kozakai as the voice of Yuki Yoshikawa, Momo Asakura as Honoka Sawada, Seiichirou Yamashita as Toru Ishikawa, Mao Ichimichi as Remi Ayasaki, Jun Fukuyama as Shuu Iura, and Reina Kondou as Sakura Kouno.
Produced by CloverWorks, the series follows the burgeoning relationship between Kyouko Hori, a prim social butterfly who does well in school but who's also harboring a secret about herself, and Miyamura, a quiet and gloomy boy with no friends whose rough exterior hides a sweet and gentle heart.
So this seems to indicate that a second season of the anime is probably unlikely. And as it stands, there has been no indication from the show's producers that the anime will continue. However, with 122 chapters of source material and only 13 episodes, it's obvious that "Horimiya" didn't cover everything that happened in the manga.
