The anime is rife with mom puns, which can get old quickly. Some examples include: A - Masato's mom (Mamako Oosuki), B - MMMMMORPG (Mom's Massively Maternal Multiplayer Making-up-with Offspring Role Playing Game), C - Game's setting (Kingdom of Mommalia), and D - Currency (Mam). These running jokes are only funny for so long.
Seeing the different viewpoints of mother and son through their adventures as they finally become closer to each other was satisfactory. Now comes the OVA. Remember all that bonding?

This series did have good animation. There were a few decent characters. The satirical nature this story had towards the isekai genre wasn't outstanding, but it was appreciated. There were problems with the overall execution, so it can't be said this was the worst anime of 2019.

A new kind of momcom roleplaying adventure! What would you do if you got transported into a video game...with your mom?? That's the dilemma facing high schooler Masato Oosuki, who has been unwittingly thrown into an RPG world with his doting mother close behind as part of a secret government scheme.
It's been a while since i tried reading this but just thought i could vent some about this ;) The author is REALLY into the idea of ecchi with the protagonist and propably his own mother. For me the first two volumes are so annoying, i had to drop reading this.
