This series did have good animation. There were a few decent characters. The satirical nature this story had towards the isekai genre wasn't outstanding, but it was appreciated. There were problems with the overall execution, so it can't be said this was the worst anime of 2019.
Wise is the typical tsundere with a superiority complex. She talks big and acts harshly or violently towards Masato whenever she's flustered or embarrassed. However, she does care about her fellow party members and is grateful to them for helping her sort out her relationship with her mother.

Masato Oosuki is a teenager who is usually annoyed by his overly doting mother, Mamako, until both are sent inside a fantasy themed game. Masato tries his hardest to show his prowess inside the game, flustered by the fact that his mother possesses much higher stats, thus she can easily defeat all opponents with her twin swords, leaving little room for him to act. On their way, they befriend three girls who join their party. As they take quests inside the game, they later discover that it was originally designed to help strengthen the bonds between parents and their children.
A member of an anti-mother party called "Ribele", Amante is known as the Betrayer of Mothers because she does not like how the game favors mothers. As such, she wants to get rid of them.
Japanese voice actress Ai Kayano provided the voice of Mamako Oosuki, the titular mother, in a series of promotions for Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?; Kayano would eventually reprise her role in the anime adaptation. As part of a promotional campaign for the series, Animate announced that they would give away a 16-page short story booklet to anyone who brought their mother to purchase one of the four winners of the 29th Fantasia Prizes.

Just when Masato thought that a random survey conducted in school was over, he was roped into a secret government scheme. Before he knew it, he ended up in a Game world! As if that wasn’t enough, shockingly, his mother was there as well!
Mamako Oosuki (大好 真々子 Ōsuki Mamako) is one of the main protagonists. She is a beta tester in the MMMMMORPG alongside her son, Masato Oosuki.
Porta ( ポータ, Pōta ) is one of the main characters and the youngest beta tester of the MMMMMORPG. She joined Masato’s party as a Merchant.
Wise is one of the main characters and a beta tester of the MMMMMORPG. She originally arrived with her mother, but they had an argument and separated which led to her joining Masato and Mamako’s party.
Medhi (メディ Medi) is one of the main protagonists. She is a beta tester and eventually joins Masato’s party.
A lot of people on Crunchyroll (low-functioning autistics) were bashing the show as the worst anime ever (despite the fact that they continued to watch it). If I didn't enjoy an anime to the point of hating it, I would have dropped it after a few episodes.
The animation is fluid and lively, the characters are nice, the scenery is colorful, poor Shirase dies more times than necessary, and I love the way Portia carries her bag on the top of her head.
Mamako adores Porta and finds her very useful and convenient due to her merchant status. Mamako treats Porta as a younger daughter, and often tries to comfort her whenever she gets upset or when she thinks she has failed her job . Porta was the first person that Mamako allowed to join Masato's party, and she even thought she'd be suitable as her son's bride.
Mamako loves Masato dearly, and is incredibly doting and protective of him. While the two were extremely close when Masato was younger, they have since grown apart as Masato entered his teenage years, with Mamako claiming that he barely talks to her anymore. In an effort to rekindle their relationship, Mamako believes that going on adventures with Masato will make him admire her again. She becomes infuriated and embarrassed whenever she is made to look shameful in front of her child and will punish any who make this so. She speaks to Masato in a soft tone, rarely ever losing her patience with him. She is also shown to be very clingy, and can be seen randomly hugging Masato tightly, much to his discomfort. Over the course of their journeys, Masato slowly grows to respect his mother once again and enjoys spending time with her. In the OVA, Mamako and Masato's relationship takes an unexpected turn. Throughout the group's time at the beach, Mamako acts rather flirtatiously with Masato. The two continued to flirt with each other throughout the day, and even made lunch and played a twister game together, though Masato was experiencing temporary amnesia and was not aware of what he was doing. When Mamako's swimsuit was torn off by a crab, Masato held her close until Porta was able to produce another swimsuit, causing Mamako to blush. Sometime later, the two watch the sun set and Masato confesses his love for her, leaving her blushing and speechless. The two lean in to kiss each other, but are interrupted by a massive kraken. This was all a confusion by amnesia.
However, after finding out about Wise's separation with her mother, she allowed her to join the group so that she could help mend their relationship . Overtime, Mamako begins to treat wise as a daughter.
Mamako cares for Medhi and helps her improve her relationship with her mother, similar to she how she helped Wise. Mamako is able to pick up on Medhi's growing resentment for her mother and goes through great lengths to help them make up.
She wears a one-piece gown with a revealing top and a blue corset with a metal guard. She wears elbow guards with blue and red stripes, and white gloves on her hands. She also wears metal boots and shinguards. Mamako is noted for looking incredibly youthful for her age.
Appearance. Mamako is a slender woman with a prominent bust, slender waist, and stands just a bit shorter than her teenage son. She has long wavy brown hair that is braided around her head and tied with a blue and red bow around the back. She wears a one-piece gown with a revealing top and a blue corset with a metal guard.
