Hyakkimaru's speech isn't the only difference from the 2019 adaptation of Dororo. Being from 1969, the entire anime is in black and white. The black and white of the 1969 adaptation and the cool dark colors of the 2019 is fitting, given the dark feel and themes of the show and helps with the world building.
It has an extensive amount of fantasy violence and gore, ranging from people getting slashed or crushed to lots of blood shooting about when body parts are severed and thrown around.

Dororo currently isn't available to watch on platforms like Netflix or Hulu, but the entire series can be streamed on Amazon Prime with a subscription.
This type of character development is seen in animes over 100 episodes. It is one of my favourite animes( Top 15 of all time, and I have watched over 150 animes). No, it is not boring, on the contrary it is quite interesting.
Between the two, it's obvious that Demon Slayer is more popular. However, Dororo might be a better choice for anime fans who are looking for something different.
Like I said before, the main reason why its actual rating is 15 is because of how much blood and gore there is.

Drifters is an anime series based on the manga by Kouta Hirano. The series shares a few similarities with Dororo. The story starts with Shimazu Toyohida, who was battling Ii Naomasa at the Battle of Sekigahara.
The story has a hip-hop setting and for many people, it sounds weird but it is actually very cool. Samurai Champloo follows Mugen, Jin, and Fuu. Mugen and Jin are swordsmen with considerable skill, but they have different styles of fighting. Fuu is a young girl, who requests the two samurai to join her to find a particular person.
Afro Samurai is set in a fictionalized feudal Japan that is futuristic. In this era, the person wielding the Number 1 headband is the best swordsman in the world. The series follows Afro, whose father was killed by Justice.
Berserk is the creation of Kentaro Miura. The manga has been adapted into an anime, but it is fair to say that the adaptation isn't top-notch. However, Berserk is still worth giving a shot as the story and the characters are absolutely brilliant.
