If there was ever something going against the pairing of Nami with Luffy, it is the pure fact that Luffy near perfectly plays the innocent, disinterested, possibly asexual character. Almost to a frustrating degree, Luffy has never shown any clear, romantic interested to any character, let alone those in the crew.
In a sense, Luffy is following them just like how when he was younger he always followed whatever his brothers Ace and Sabo did. The answer is quite simple and it is Boa Hancock. All these other people are telling you Nami because they show shots of Luffy drooling over her at the sight of her naked body.
The fact that most of the cover spread of One Piece manga has Nami and Luffy together with a smiling Robin approving them or chopper in between especially when they are in uncommon positions. Chopper in between makes it look like he is the child of Nami and Luffy.
The answer is quite simple and it is Boa Hancock. All these other people are telling you Nami because they show shots of Luffy drooling over her at the sight of her naked body. But, if you literally see all those scenes, Luffy does this because he is heavily influenced by people he is close with.

There is no 'kissing scene' in One Piece, if you're looking for something romantic. But you can open an incognito tab in your browser and find something that meets your expectations; maybe even exceed them. Sanji's older sister, Rejiu kisses Luffy to suck the poison that Luffy ate the fish skin which was poisonous.
Nami has a very interesting relationship with Usopp. When they first met, she easily saw through his lies. It's not until she saw that Usopp would fight for his village that she started to like the sniper.
Unlike the other popular ships, such as Sanji x Nami and Luffy x Hancock, neither Luffy or Nami have shown any romantic interest in the other.

Kaya is a female character in the anime and manga series One Piece. She is living on the largest mansion in Syrup Village in the Gecko Islands. She is becoming a doctor and she is the close friend and love interest of Usopp.
That Nami went to hug Luffy because she was happy to see him after being separated in what could be considered a long time in the OP world, but the mention of Sanji just turned a happy hug into a comfort hug.
This can be chalked up to the fact that Luffy has no interest in romance as of this moment. Yet, Luffy marrying Hancock is a likelihood once he fulfills his goal, just like Gol D. Roger did. The pair of a Pirate King and a Pirate Empress is nothing but a perfect One Piece ship.
Marriage Ceremonies In Absalom and Nami's ceremony, Nami was unconscious and a zombie recited the vows for her before forcing her to kiss Absalom, putting their possible marriage into question should the ceremony have been completed.
Serving as many One Piece fans' preferred ship in the series, Luffy and Hancock seem like more of an inevitability than a possibility. The former Warlord's constant pining for love is something Luffy will eventually be unable to ignore.
Nami has remained very apathetic when it comes to love. She has not been romantically involved with anyone in the series up till now.
Nami and Sanji get along fairly well. Sanji is always kind and respectful towards Nami and even addresses her as “Nami-san.” Also, Sanji is the only person who Nami calls using honorifics, “Sanji-kun” among the Straw Hats.
Opposite attracts and that may be the case for Luffy and Nami. Luffy is all strength with no brains, while Nami with the brains but no strength like Luffy.

This adventure being central to Nami's character, Luffy gets to act the part as one of the most important and influential people in her life . One would think that Nami would be fond of that.
And Nami and Sanji had that in spades during Whole Cake Island. Sanji, at this point, had betrayed and left the crew, beating down Luffy as icing on the cake.
Nami's backstory revealed that the tyrannical, Fishman, Arlong, has long conquered her homeland and has been using her to steal treasure and draw maps for his crew, contorting the dream that she has long held dear.
On the topic of consistency, while Oda doesn't necessarily make any direct assertions, he have Luffy and Nami pairing up a disproportionate amount of times whenever the crew goes on their adventures. If this were Scooby-Doo, Luffy and Nami would be Fred and Daphne somehow always teaming up together.
One Piece is the Shonen Jump juggernaut known for stellar sales, great world building, and talking skeletons with afros that can make you cry. However, if there has ever been a neglected element of the series, at least, compared to other animes, it is the lack of direct shipping within the series. Shipping being the romantic speculation ...
That's where Sanji comes in. Being as dedicated as he is, Sanji 's more than willing to risk his life to help Nami. Whenever she's in danger, he is the first responder on the scene, possibly delivering her a nice smoothie while he kicks away the bad guys.
As much of a trope being the swooning, ladies man is in anime ( looking at you Brock), it at least highlights interest from the character, and Sanji has expressed quite a bit of interest for Nami.
There was never anything that deeply personal between Luffy and Vivi. Plus, Vivi literally has her childhood friend, Koza, acting as a more direct and consistent relationship. She's known Koza since childhood. She knew Luffy for like a month.
Usopp and Nami are two members of the Weak Trio who have a consistent rapport with one another and often scheme to find ways to circumvent the dangerous decisions made by their cavalier captain.
While there is a lot to speculate over Sanji and Pudding's relationship, Sanji and Viola have actually done a kiss on screen. Viola was even able to convince Sanji to abandon the Straw Hats and run away with her in an impulsive and passionate display of romance. However, that's where the relationship begins to wear thin.
Proximity and friendship can allow quite a bit to happen between the most diametrically opposed personalities, and it is really never too late to surprise fans with a hidden romance.
That means a grand adventure, tons of action, and the word "nakama" being thrown around like firecrackers. However, if there was one thing that the series has struggled with, it has been romance. The series, by design, hasn't been one to directly entertain romance, and creator, Eiichiro Oda, has suggested that a romantic relationship forming ...
In an examination of what could happen in One Piece, here are a few couples that are perfect together and a few that just don't make sense.
