It's certainly not required to watch it. That being said, I do think you should watch DR3 anyway, because it was fantastic overall and wrapped up the whole Hope's Peak storyline that DR1, DR2, and UDG were based around.

The minimum PC requirements to run the game are listed below:
Watch Order (Anime)
Dangaronpa 3 The anime immediately follows Danganronpa 2. There will be developments you wouldn't imagine, as well as many new characters. They believe this story can only be told through anime. If they made a game instead of an anime, they might not have been able to do the serious things they planned for the anime.
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. Before you play V3, you should watch/play these (in order!!) Imo you should just go chronoligcally story wise ( From start to finish ). Reason being because everything just sorts it self out, questions get answered, and so on.
I tried playing Danganronpa 1, but couldn't get into it as I had already watched the anime, which while watered down, resembles the game plot. Haven't played Danganronpa 2. Short answer: no.
Yes, you can. The first anime is an adaptation of the first game, while the Danganronpa 3 anime alternates between a prequel to the anime and a follow-up to Danganronpa 2. Both of the games are in the Hope's Peak Saga, whereas Dangaronpa V3 is a separate story.
You must play Super Danganronpa 2 though, because there is no anime of it, and it is crucial to the story of DR2. After you watched/played DR1 and SDR2, you have to watch another anime, Danganronpa 3.
Yes, Ultra Despair Girls takes place between Danganronpa 1 and 2. The only correction I'd make to your timeline above is that the DR3 - Despair anime clearly takes place before the Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair game.
There are mild sexual references and some swearing, but overall it is fine for an 11 year old.
A big twist reveal is that Danganronpa is fiction in V3, and the killing game of V3 is created for Danganronpa fans. So its not in the same world as the other two games, but in a world more similar to our own where they created a sort of reality TV show that is Danganronpa.
