It's certainly not required to watch it. That being said, I do think you should watch DR3 anyway, because it was fantastic overall and wrapped up the whole Hope's Peak storyline that DR1, DR2, and UDG were based around.
From what I remember, the DR3 anime is suppose to end the Hope's Peak Academy arc "indefinitely". Knowing this I assume DRV3 is entirely new and has nothing to do with DR 1 and 2 and you should be fine. I wouldnt know for sure, I barely finished Chapter 1 so no credit if theres any connection or Easter eggs to DR1&2 past that point
Yes, definitely. Future Arc covers what happens after the first killing game and Despair Arc shows what happened to the class of Danganronpa 2. In fact, I would highly recommend playing Ultra Despair Girls before watching the anime. I don't think you need to watch DR3, it does tie up the arcs though.
Neither. It's because they were always intending for this to be a new start, and this game was in development at the same time as DR3.
People have already answered this, but no, the anime will not spoil the plot of the game. It is its own seperate story meant to end the Hope's Peak arc of the first two games, as Danganronpa V3 is going to have its own story.
The “V3” in New Danganronpa V3 is to differentiate Danganronpa 3 and New Danganronpa V3. The “V” stands for “Victory.” The basic flow of the game is the same as it's been in the past, but the level of production is much higher.
The series was the final chapter of the "Hope's Peak Academy" arc within the Danganronpa franchise, as the third main video game, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, focuses on a new setting and group of characters, in contrast to the anime, which instead focuses on returning characters.
Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak Academy will be split into two distinct parts, one that will take place after the second Danganronpa, and one that will focus on events prior to the first.
Yes, it is the canon conclusion to the Hope's Peak saga..
It's basically space of all three previous games combined! There's a lot more 3D stuff here than in the previous games. Also there's a lot more content here than on the other games. Considering what we saw with the demo, it'll be more power hungry for your PC.
Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School, a TV anime series and a sequel, prequel, and conclusion to the Hope's Peak Series.
Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. Before you play V3, you should watch/play these (in order!!) Imo you should just go chronoligcally story wise ( From start to finish ). Reason being because everything just sorts it self out, questions get answered, and so on.
A big twist reveal is that Danganronpa is fiction in V3, and the killing game of V3 is created for Danganronpa fans. So its not in the same world as the other two games, but in a world more similar to our own where they created a sort of reality TV show that is Danganronpa.
