To fight Chrollo at his peak, Hisoka left the group and found a way to break his seal. The 2011 Hunter x Hunter anime features an intriguing scenario entailing Hisoka and an unrevealed personality. After his Nen is unsealed, Chrollo finally agrees to fight Hisoka in a death match at the Heavens Arena.
The long-awaited, multi-chapter fight between Hisoka and Chrollo kicks off in Hunter X Hunter chapter 351 and begins with the opponents agreeing it will be a battle to the death.
The pair are finally able to face off in a no-holds-barred battle to the death, as Hisoka had hoped; previously, their only chance had been after Chrollo's nen abilities were sealed back in chapter 119, meaning he'd only be able to fight at a fraction of his normal power.
Both Chrollo and Hisoka are the amongst the most intelligent fighters of the series, but Hisoka's Nen abilities are relatively simple; he just makes good use of it with his cunning. But Chrollo's Nen ability isn't. He would've spent a long period of prep time studying and deciding the best Nen to use.
Over the years, Killua has developed tremendously and become a seasoned Hunter, despite being so young. He proved to be strong enough to put up a fight against Menthuthuyoupi to some extent, which shows he's worthy of fighting Hisoka too.
How Does Hisoka Die? After his Nen is unsealed, Chrollo finally agrees to fight Hisoka in a death match at the Heavens Arena. Chrollo, who is now capable of using two abilities simultaneously, proves to be a tough opponent to defeat.
Volume 34Volume 34 of Hunter X Hunter is basically one crazy fight. Seriously ninety percent of the volume is Hisoka and Chrollo fighting to the death.
He probably wants to fight all of the Troupe members, believing it would give him great arousal or excitement since he probably realized they could be worthy opponents after his fight with Chrollo.
After fighting against Chrollo, Hisoka died. His aura returned to his body when Machi tried to fix it. Hisoka had told his Nen, before he died, to use Bungee Gum in order to restart his heart and lungs.
Episode 52 (2011)
Furthermore, it is likely that Chrollo secretly received help from the members of the Troupe in this fight, which is how he was able to defeat Hisoka in the first place. In a fair fight, Hisoka would win.
HisokaHowever, Hisoka survived and vowed to kill all of the members of the Phantom Troupe. He immediately killed Shalnark and Kortopi.

Ging's true abilities aren't known right now, but he's still powerful enough to defeat Hisoka, from what we've been told. In the Dark Continent arc, we may see the two come face to face against each other at some point.
It is important to note that Hisoka and Illumi are revealed to be engaged in the manga. This is proven by Illumi casually admitting to Chrollo that he and Hisoka's ordeal is an engagement ring.
Episode 32 (2011)
Mitsu (hisoka's younger sister)
Hisoka Morrow is one of the most powerful Hunters in Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter x Hunter series. Also known as "The Magician," Hisoka relies heavily on his Nen power, known as Bungee Gum in battle.
Chrollo is the leader of the Phantom Troupe and one of the most powerful characters in the entire Hunter x Hunter series. He is someone Hisoka wished to fight against and the two finally clashed at Heaven's Arena.
Meruem was the King of the Chimera Ants and the strongest known character in the entire series to date. His strength was such that even Netero couldn't defeat him despite having gone all out. In his fight against the strongest Hunter, Meruem barely got injured.
While Hisoka is powerful in his own right, he doesn't stand much of a chance against the Chimera Ant Royal Guard since the difference in power between them is staggering.
While Hisoka is powerful enough to fight against the strongest of Hunters out there, he certainly doesn't stand a chance against any of the Royal Guards of Meruem.
Very few characters in Hunter x Hunter can defeat Hisoka Morrow in a fight. Here are 5 who can actually pull it off and 5 others who simply can't.
Formerly known as Hagya, Leol was one of the Squadron Leaders of the Chimera Ant army with quite a peculiar Nen ability. Like Chrollo, he could use the Nen ability of other people after certain conditions were met, however, his version of this ability was much weaker.
During the Hunter Exam Arc, Hisoka tried to challenge Netero but the latter didn't even consider him worthy of a fight.
Cheetu was one of the Squadron Leaders of the Chimera Ant army who had multiple Nen abilities gifted to him by Shaiapouf. He claimed to be the fastest of all the Chimera Ants and his strength was nothing to take lightly either.
However, Killua certainly isn't on the same level as Hisoka yet and will end up losing if the two were to ever clash.
A member of the Kurta Clan, Kurapika is an incredibly powerful character who has become rather dangerous over the years, especially for the members of the Phantom Troupe. Although Hisoka isn't really a member of the Troupe, it is possible that Kurapika's contract can work against him.
One of the Royal Guards of Meruem, Neferpitou is an incredibly powerful character whose Nen ability is tremendous, no matter how you look at it. Pitou was strong enough to defeat Kite in battle and Colt mentioned them being stronger than Netero, which means the difference in skill between them and Hisoka is too massive.
Hunter x Hunter: 5 Characters Hisoka Can Defeat (& 5 He Can't) Hisoka is quite powerful, strong enough to take on some of the strongest of characters in the entire Hunter x Hunter series, but not unbeatable. Also known as the Clown, Hisoka is one of the antagonists of the Hunter x Hunter series.
Also known as the Clown, Hisoka is one of the antagonists of the Hunter x Hunter series. He served as a member of the Phantom Troupe at one point in the series, although his motives have always been different from the rest of the members.
Chrollo uses (1) to create puppets, (2) and (3) to make them attack Hisoka, and (4) to disguise himself. Chrollo knows Hisoka is a great duelist and assassin, but does not have abilities that could fight multiple enemies easily. In gaming terms, Hisoka did not spec into AOE.
Because Hisoka cannot easily defeat the army of exploding puppets (no AOE!), he resorted to his other style of combat, which is to try outsmart Chrollo. He is now thinking carefully about which combinations of abilities Chrollo is using and how to disrupt it.
Chrollo was actually using three abilities in combination, thanks to the persist through death property of Sun and Moon affecting his puppets. He effectively tricked Hisoka into thinking this was a game of 2D chess while actually playing 3D chess.
Basically, Hisoka lost because he did’t prepare, with as versatile of an ability as of Chrollo’s he was doomed to fail as soon as he gave him a chance to prepare.
After a person fulfills three of Alluka's requests, Nanika will assume control over Alluka’s body and grant one wish. The wish does not have to come from the one who fulfilled Alluka's requests, as even an extra party can have their wish granted as long as it was declared during Nanika's appearance.
Netero stomps on all accords. Most members of the Phantom Troupe only come in around Officer Ant level, with the absolute highest tiers (save for Hisoka, Chrollo, and Illumi if you want to count him) only scaling to Squadron Leaders - yes, this means Feitan and Phinks.
First of all, this is one of, if not THE, most confusing fight in the entire HxH series. The TLDR version is: Chrollo pulled a Batman on Hisoka. Now let's get into it. Both Chrollo and Hisoka are the amongst the most intelligent fighters of the series, but Hisoka's Nen abilities are relatively simple; he just makes good use of it with his cunning.
