As a romantic comedy, Daa! Daa! Daa! falls into a formulaic pattern for a majority of its episodes. For example, Miyu and Kanata are trying their hardest to maintain their everyday lives and accommodate Ruu-chan as much as possible. However, due to Ruu-chan having supernatural powers, he creates a large stir.
But there’s more, before the night ended, the alien baby Ruu and his sitter pet, Wanya, arrived from a far far away Planet Otto. From then, the four of them live together until the two aliens find a way to go back to planet Otto. Daa! Daa! Daa!, does not have a grand or dramatic plot.
Daa! is one of my favorite anime of all time. Yes, it's really really old and the art and sound is not even comparable to modern anime. But considering for how it was for it's time, this deserves a 10. Even so, the story is great. Sure, it's silly and a lot of scenes are cliches.
This is a really cute anime! I really like it a lot. Even though its targetted to child audiences it really shows important values, character development and depth which surprised me! The story takes a simple background with unusual circumstances which combine perfectly, along likeable characters and comical elements.

Both Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu and Daa! Daa! Daa! (UFO Baby) are loosely-plotted supernatural anime. Both of them consist of daily school life, a slow romance, and oppressive female and calm male leads which brings me to think that if you liked DDD you'd love ZHnY (and vice versa).

In order to accomplish their goals they decide to work at NASA; but due to their inevitably busy schedules, Miyu is sent to live with a friend of the family.

Exactly what the title says. The genres don't show the romance tag but there's some romance in it :>
