In fact, the series became so infamous for not following the manga that it was essentially canceled for that reason. This series fell into a classic anime trap, where they just created so many episodes that felt like filler, not following the manga at all.
The anime is behind the manga by more than 30 chapters. The last episode of the latest Attack on Titan season adapted Chapter 90 of the manga so Season 4 would, presumably, start from Chapter 91. It should also be worth noting that Season 4 is the last season for the anime series, given that the manga is already on its final arc.
For one thing, the manga had a whole lot less fan service than the anime did. The creators behind the anime decided that they wanted to focus more on the romance and love triangles within the series, and less on the main plot. Thus the fans got two entirely different experiences from the two.
Another anime that deserves to be on this list is Tokyo Ghoul. One can argue that the changes between the manga and the anime are relatively mild, but in actuality, it goes further than this. The anime leaned much more heavily on tropes and cliches than the manga did, which ended up taking away so much from the main plot.
This was the final season, the manga is done, it's been a great ride – but all good things must come to an end. I was sad about that, but ready for it.
Working!! Working!!, released in English territories as Wagnaria!!, is a Japanese four-panel comic strip manga series written and illustrated by Karino Takatsu, which follows the activities of the unusual employees at one of the units of the Wagnaria family restaurant chain.
If you also watched the movie, then you can skip ahead to Chapter 29. Be aware that while the movie does cover Chapter 16 through 28 as a direct continuation of the story, it does so loosely. You will miss a fair bit of substance.
Chapters list: 53. I'm Not Kidding.
Source. "Wagnaria" is the name of the restaurant where the main cast works, so it makes sense as a title, even if kind of sounds like the name of a world of magic and wonder where knights and princesses adventure.
In the conclusion of the series, Souta and Inami become a couple.
Given was first a manga created by Natsuki Kizu. If the name doesn't ring any bells, maybe the name Gusari does. She started off as a doujinshi artist for Hetalia, Kuroko no Basuke, and Haikyuu!! She made a name for herself through her sensitive exploration of love and friendship in her fanart.
It's generally recommended that you read manga from the beginning as anime adaptations can miss some details. However, Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the more faithful adaptations, allowing anime fans to skip ahead.

It looks like it's not an anime original ending because I haven't seen the OVA tag on those 4 episodes anywhere. The ReLIFE manga was 237 chapters, and ReLIFE is scored pretty highly and is quite good from what I've heard, but 17 episodes seems wayyy too short to adapt 237 chapters.
Original video animationOriginal video animation (Japanese: オリジナル・ビデオ・アニメーション, Hepburn: orijinaru bideo animēshon), abbreviated as OVA and sometimes as OAV (original animation video), are Japanese animated films and series made specially for release in home video formats without prior showings on television or in theaters, though the first ...

Yet another anime that stopped following the manga is Soul Eater . Soul Eater was a brilliant series loved by countless fans. But when they opted to change course during the second season, fans couldn't help but be disappointed by that fact.
Deadman Wonderland got a total of thirteen episodes, which seems pretty solid at first. But consider that the material really only used five volumes worth from the manga. Meanwhile, the manga lasted thirteen volumes.
The first chunk of Hellsing was both interesting and fairly faithful to the manga, but from that point on things gradually diverged more and more. The divergence is arguably the reason the anime didn't go on for as long as it could have.
Fullmetal Alchemist was a massively popular series (still is, actually). But then things took a turn when the anime decided to go ahead and finish up without the manga. The two series didn't end up being anything alike in the end, with the anime losing a lot of the logic and character that had made fans fall in love with the series.
In fact, the series became so infamous for not following the manga that it was essentially canceled for that reason.
Claymore was a brilliant anime and manga, yet there's one major thing that held the anime back from being a fan favorite. The ending. This is a classic (and arguably most talked about) case of the anime ending the series in a completely different manner from the manga. Arguably, the anime ending was pretty awful.
