Hange died while they were trying to kill a wall titan that was very close to the plane. She didn’t want Armin or any other titan shifter dying, so she killed a couple of titans, was eaten by a wall titan, and then burned alive. Who was Hange Zoe in the attack on Titan?
Hange Zoe, a central character in the Attack on Titan anime and manga, was sadly killed in the manga. In Chapter #132 of the manga,“Wings of Freedom”, Hange Zoe sacrifices themselves fighting against the Rumbling to buy their friends and comrades time to escape. Who Was Hange? Hange Zoe was the 14th commander of the Survey Corps.
Hange Zoë dies while fighting two Titans during the War for Paradis Arc. After getting close enough to kill the Titans with their Thunder Blades, Hange immediately begins to suffer severe burns, but they manage to endure the pain for long enough for the flying boat to take off before finally succumbing to their injuries.
Those worried for Levi and Hange can officially breathe easy: Attack on Titan revealed that both characters are still alive. The anime's latest episode ends with Pieck and Commander Magath coming across them.
Fans were definitely torn up about it. But thankfully, in a climactic moment, Episode 54 of the series confirms that Hange has indeed survived the Colossal Titan's transformation explosion and has even managed to keep a Thunder Spear handy. Check out Hange's return below!
Sadly, Hange is killed in her final stand against the Rumbling, and fans got misty-eyed seeing her reunite with those who died before her afterward. Hange and Erwin had a good laugh about Levi in their shared afterlife, and fans know it will be a bittersweet moment when Levi is finally reunited with his two friends.
Levi and Hange are complimentary opposites that share a very strong bond based on understanding and trust. They first met in the year 844, shortly after Levi joined the Scouts. Hange was highly impressed by Levi's battle skills and immediately displayed great enthusiasm to learn more about their origin.
Pieck and Jean are nearly killed, but they are saved by the intervention of Porco and Marcel Galliard's Jaw Titans. Pieck transforms again and joins her resurrected comrades in holding off the remaining hostile Titans while Jean finally reaches Eren's nape and destroys it.
Throughout the series, fans have speculated about whether Hange was meant to be a non-binary character. Although the character has a female first name, they're usually referred to simply as “Hange” (often written as “Hanji”). Gender isn't really a part of the character's identity.
Hange, easily the smartest member of the Survey Corps, lays her life on the line to buy her friends time and unfortunately is unable to withstand the heat being exuded from "the Rumbling", burning her body to a crisp and killing her in the process.
When Hange was caught in an explosion caused by Bertolt Hoover transforming, their left eye was badly injured. This led them to wear a small black eye patch over it. As a constantly busy person, their hair was thrown up very quickly and was usually oily and unclean.
She died because she tried to save the others by sacrificing herself. Because there were so many colossal titans, she got burned up (since colossal titans can release hot steam from inside then because they have so skin) and died but she still managed to kill 2 colossal titans with the thunder spears. R.I.P Hange.
They saw it because there was a hole in the wall caused by the Female Titan climbing the wall. Pastor Nick then quickly tells Hanji to not let sunlight hit the titan which would cause it to move.
But the plot didn’t want Armin to die. Upon trying to escape the rumbling she went to killing the wall titans who came very close to the plane and wanted to slow them down and she didn't want Armin or other titan shifters to die so she went killing a couple of titans and was burned alive as wall titans are very hot.

Attack on Titan really doesn't give a damn about sacred cows. Anyone is expendable. Anyone. No matter how much fan heartbreak it causes.
This person is so distraught by the thought of Hange dying that she can't even spell the words out. Or maybe that's just Twitter?

Hange was a light-colored person with long, dark brown eyes. She also had shoulder-length hair. Hange’s left eye was severely damaged when they were caught in an explosion that Bertolt Hoover caused. They wore a small, black patch on their left eye. Her hair was often oily and unclean because they were always busy.
Hange was a free-thinking, energetic researcher who seemed to have a unique way of conducting her work. They were also very objective and observant. Hange says that their hearts were filled with hate when they joined the Survey Corps. They kicked a 3 meter Titan’s head and were stunned at its extraordinary lightness.
She was trying to save others by giving her life for them. Colossal giants surrounded her, burning herself (colossal Titans release hot steam from their bodies). She died, but she managed to kill two colossal giants using the thunder spears.
