Ed was a surly and old-fashioned curmudgeon. Series creator Joe Murray based the Bigheads on some unpleasant neighbors he had in the past. Ed disliked Rocko, Filburt, and Heffer and bossed anyone around who he felt was inferior (besides his boss and wife).
Initially, it took some convincing to cast Adler as Buster Bunny. Tiny Toons' producers, including Steven Spielberg, weren't sold while series creator Tom Ruegger and casting director Andrea Romano lobbied for him. Ruegger felt he brought great energy to the role.
Everyone remembers this marvelous, yet dimwitted, hunk from the 90s. Voiced by Jeff Bennett, this self proclaimed womanizer was the victim of comedic beatings by the ladies Johnny tried to pick up. Although Johnny never had much success getting what he wanted, the voice behind this character sure had a lot of success.
