These rooms will be checking badges upon entry.
It'll be AWESOME. My personal favorite thing to do at comic conventions and anime conventions is take pictures- and LOTS of them. You'll be amazed at how many stock photo opportunities there are at conventions - each time I go to one, I find myself using the resulting photos for years and years afterwards.
Ticketed Events Some events during Anime Expo may also require a ticket, in addition to a badge. You can buy your tickets online ahead of time or you can purchase them onsite at the Ticketing Booth, based on availability.
18Re-entry into the room will require the wristband. Please refrain from tampering in any fashion with wristbands provided for entry. If you are over the age of 18 you may not escort another person under the age of 18 into the room. Please do not leave children unaccompanied to attend an 18+ event.

the Los Angeles Convention CenterAnime Expo 2022 Bringing fans and industry together for an annual celebration of Japanese pop culture. Join us for Anime Expo 2022 on July 1-4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center!
The reason for celebrating National Anime Day as an annual event on April 15 is that anime has grown in popularity over the past few decades.
Attendees are permitted to bring in food and beverage for personal consumption only. This means only food and drink that you would be able to consume individually. Food and drink brought in bulk will not be permitted into the convention center. Refillable water bottles will be allowed — in fact, we encourage them!
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.
You may need to request days off at work or clear your schedule on the convention days so you have enough time to experience the convention. If you do not pre-register for the anime convention, you can still pick up your pass at the door. But it will likely be more expensive and you will have to wait in a longer line.

Anime Expo isn’t that much of a mouthful. However, there are nonetheless times when something shorter can prove very useful. As a result, interested individuals should know that Anime Expo is sometimes abbreviated as AX, which is pretty simple and straightforward in nature.
Currently, Anime Expo is held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, which is unsurprising when it tends to be held in Southern California most of the time. However, it is interesting to note that the event has been held at other locations such as New York and Tokyo on rare occasions.
Speaking of which, Anime Expo tends to be held on the first weekend of July. As a result, it is often overlaps with the 4th of July, particularly since the event runs for a total of four days.
Anime Expo has been pretty consistent in being the largest anime convention that can be found in North America. However, this wasn’t the case in 2003, which saw Otakon on the East Coast beating its numbers. With that said, seeing as how that has happened once, it should be pretty clear that said incident was very much the exception to the rules.
The organization that is responsible for producing Anime Expo on an annual basis is called the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation, though for reasons of practicality, this tends to be shortened to the SPJA.
One of the reasons that Anime Expo has been able to bring in its numbers is that it has done a decent job at getting figures from the Japanese industry as well as its related industries to show up, which can be a pretty important selling point for anime fans.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Anime Expo sees plenty of participation from companies that produce related forms of entertainment. After all, if someone consumes anime, chances are pretty good that they will also read manga, play video games, and so on and so forth.
