But what they don't tell you is, a VRV account is not compatible with websites (or in other words) you cannot watch anything on your browser. Not on vrv.co or crunchyroll.com and possibly the rest. VRV is exclusively for all of their respective "apps" not the sites.
Only one Crunchyroll account is authorized to be linked to a VRV account. Why am I being charged twice after I linked VRV to Crunchyroll.com? You need to cancel one of the services. Linking the accounts mean if you pay for Premium on one service, you will share that Premium with the other service.
If you signed up for the VRV premium you should cancel your Crunchyroll Paypal subscription through Paypal so you’re not charged twice. I linked my Crunchyroll.com account to a VRV account, but I’m still being billed monthly through iTunes.
Then, you’ll be able to add on your favorite channels such as Crunchyroll, Cartoon Hangover, Mondo, and more for an additional monthly fee .
If you add-on Crunchyroll through VRV, though, you’ll be signing up for a Crunchyroll premium account. By itself, VRV costs $9.99 per month. By adding on Crunchyroll access, you’ll pay an extra $7.99 (plus tax) per month. This means your total monthly bill for VRV with Crunchyroll access will come out to just over $18.
Everybody knows Crunchyroll for being one of the largest anime streaming platforms of all time. However, a new streaming platform called VRV (pronounced “Verve”) has been making waves in the anime community. It allows users to add-on subscriptions and link multiple streaming services (including Crunchyroll) to their VRV account.
In this aspect, VRV blows Crunchyroll out of the water. As a newer platform, they currently use the latest HTML5 video player. This means that you’ll be able to watch all of Crunchyroll’s content with HTML5 instead of Adobe Flash. The result is that your video quality will be higher, and you’ll experience fewer playback errors .
As I mentioned earlier, when you add Crunchyroll access to your VRV account, you’ll be signed up for a Crunchyroll premium account by default. This will give you access to add-free content, premium Crunchyroll store discounts, and other perks not available to [ free Crunchyroll members ].
While Crunchyroll is a standa lone anime streaming platform, VRV is more of a “hub” that allows you to add-on streaming platforms like Crunchyroll. With a VRV membership, you’ll have access to VRV originals and you’ll also be able to pay an extra monthly fee to gain access to all of Crunchyroll’s content as well.
Although VRV is a good bit more expensive than Crunchyroll, your membership has several perks to it. For one, you’ll be able to combine your Crunchyroll membership and VRV and watch all of your favorite content in one place. For two, VRV utilizes the latest HTML5 video playback, which means better video quality and fewer glitches.
If you already have a Crunchyroll Premium account from Crunchyroll’s standalone service: Step 1: Go to VRV .co. Step 2: Create an account. Step 3: Click "Account" in the upper-right corner. Step 4: Select "Link Accounts". Step 5: Follow the steps to link your Crunchyroll account to VRV!
Account Linking allows you to link your Premium status between the two services if you are a Premium member already on one of the services. The linking feature is currently only available for Crunchyroll, but do keep an eye out for future announcements as VRV continues to grow.
Crunchyroll Premium and VRV PRemium are two different offers. To enjoy the whole VRV Premium offering, you will have to cancel your Crunchyroll membership. You will still be able to enjoy all your member benefits.
No, Account Linking only confirm s your Premium status between the Crunchyroll channel on VRV and Crunchyroll.com.
Please note that linking accounts only affects Premium memberships. You will need a Premium membership from Crunchyroll.com or VRV. Here’s how you link your Premium Crunchyroll.com account to VRV and vice versa:
Example: If you subscribe to the VRV Premium and link your VRV account to your Crunchyroll.com account, the link will share the premium you are paying for on VRV with Crunchyroll.com. This will give you 100% the same benefits on Crunchyroll.com as if you signed up there directly. No need to pay twice!
No. The billing systems are separate. Account Linking only confirms your Premium status across Crunchyroll on VRV and the standalone Crunchyroll service. It does not transfer remaining time after you cancel. If you have prepaid time on Crunchyroll, a gift subscription, or are on a longer subscription plan, you might want to wait till that time is ending to get maximum value out of your plan before switching to a bundle deal.
Anyone else dealing with this? Very happy to have crunchy on the switch but it acts like it’s going dim so frequently that it’s gotta be a bug. In the middle of episodes while they are playing it’l go super dark like it is idle until I hit the controller again. Pls fix
iOS. Stupid garbage just won’t work. Keeps buffering - I have 1gb cable connection, which means they limit their bandwidth to whatever was standard in early 2000s. The app cannot even handle locking the screen on your device, will randomly crash each time you want to continue watching.
Firstly the Audio is extremly offset to the Video, also it is muffled and very Quiet.
I'm seriously deaf and angry. Is Crunchyroll been too lazy (no offense) for not adding Closed Caption on English and other language Dub? I mean Funimation and HiDive have Closed Captions on English Dubs.
Luckily I’m in my account, but I cannot change my password or the email, which both has been changed. In other words, I can’t update my password without access to the hacked email and I can’t change the password without the current (hacked) password. I’ve contacted VRV, but I haven’t heard anything back.
