There are multiples of at least some Legendary Pokémon in the anime While it can't be said for certain for every Legendary, a number of them are explicitly shown to have multiple members of the species and/or be capable of breeding. Lugia - A parent and child pair appear together in the Johto League series of the anime.
In the Pokemon anime, Legendary Pokémon exist beyond just being an end-goal encounter. There are multiple instances where Ash connects and bonds with these Pokémon. In Pokémon Journeys, for instance, the moment that Ash and Goh meet sees them riding Lugia and having a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Many Legendary Pokémon can be obtained at most once per save file (excluding Pokémon events); in order to obtain multiple, a player would need to trade Pokémon between games. However, in some cases, there are multiple Legendary Pokémon of the same species either found or mentioned in-game, even though they are not available to the player.
Nine additional Legendary Pokémon were introduced in Generation V, totaling 35 Legendary Pokémon. Reshiram and Zekrom played a large role in the storyline of Pokémon Black and White, with the respective mascot Pokémon being a necessary and unavoidable capture to progress to the end of the game.
Pokemon: Every Trainer From The Anime Who Caught A Legendary1 Goh - Suicune.2 Nurse Joy - Latias. ... 3 Brandon - Regirock, Regice, & Registeel. ... 4 Tobias - Darkrai & Latios. ... 5 Gladion - Silvally. ... 6 One Random Sinnoh Trainer - Heatran. ... 7 Giovanni - Mewtwo. ... 8 Ash - Melmetal. ...
The ten Darkrai are named, in descending order, for their power level. Each also has a difference in appearance to a normal Darkrai.
Dialga & co. can never be unique because Arceus is shown to just create more whenever it feels like it. There are multiple Regigigas, said to have moved the continents.... I don't think one Groudon shaped all of the landmasses.
Fast forward two decades or so, however, and there are now 60 Legendaries and 22 Mythical Pokemon, which, unsurprisingly, perhaps, can sometimes make it a little tricky to keep track of them all.
The battle is over and Tobias wins with only 2 lost pokemon. After this, Tobias kinds of praises Ash for his abilities, but then leaves the arena. Ash has lost and Tobias advances to the next round (semi-finals). This battle and the final battle, he wins with only is Darkrai.
Mew's number in the National Pokédex is 151, the last of the first-generation Pokémon, with 150 being Mewtwo and 152 being Chikorita.
Don't forget: Rayquaza- There was a shiny Rayquaza in the Hoopa movie, yet there was a normal rayquaza in the deoxys movie. Also... Diancie- although mythical and not legendary, it's still rare.
Yes there are two mewtwos, this was stated by Director Kunihiko Yuyama: "When you think about the Mewtwo from the first movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back, you think about lines like "Who am I?" and how there was this running theme of Mewtwo wondering about itself and how it relates to the world around it."
This legendary Pokémon has the power to lull people to sleep and fill their heads with dreams. Proverbs say that Darkrai will make people have terrifying dreams on moonless nights.
Ho-Oh, however, was the first Legendary Pokémon to appear in the anime, debuting at the end of the first episode of the series. At the time Ho-Oh had not been officially announced nor was it identified in the episode, being endemic to Johto. The episodes that each Ho-Oh and Lugia have appeared in are listed below.
Mew is largely regarded as the first Pokémon to ever exist. Mew is a psychic type legendary Pokémon that was introduced in the very first generation. Mew is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon, Mew is also genderless.

Spot #2 is taken by the Legendary Pokemon Latios. Although this Pokemon has appeared multiple times in the anime, its most noteworthy episode was "The Semi-Final Frontier!" Ash Ketchum battles against a trainer named Tobias who has it on his team.
Latios is a Psychic/Dragon-type that can fly faster than a jet plane. Using it, Tobias proceeds to knock out two of Ash's Pokemon with ease right away. Ash, left only with Pikachu, sends the Electric-type out with low hopes. Pikachu manages to defeat Latios, but simultaneously faints and loses the battle.
Regigigas - Like the original three Titans the leader of the group has been shown to have at minimum two Regigigas in the Anime, the one that appeared in M11, and the one that appears during DP in Snowpoint temple.
Entei and Raikou - Threw certain Johto episode and Movie 13 we have been Confirmed that there are at bare minimum at least 2 Entei and Raikou in the Pokemon World.
Rayquaza - Another one of the Main easy ones as there is a minimum of two Rayquaza in the world, a Normal Green Rayquaza as seen many times, including Mega evolution Specials and M7 (Could easily be a different two even) and the Shiny Rayquaza, met in M18.
Jirachi - There should be a minimum of two Jirachi in the world, the one from M6 who hold a story to them and the Jirachi we see appear in the anime like in BW.
Mewtwo - There are at least two Mewtwo in the world, and possibly more depending on how far Dr. Fuji's work spread. The Mega Evolution Specials
Shaymin - Very Easy even in Shaymin's first appearance it was shown that the Pokemon is not one of a kind and that they ofter travel in groups.
The Creation Trio, Lake Guardians, and Arceus - To avoid taking up to much space with the 7 Legendaries that make up this group are all unique in my personal opinion as the two Trios were made for specific reasons by Arceus who is the Highest tier Pokemon in the series to date. Even With the Creation Trio appearing in M18, Arceus was also a part of that movie.
