In general, the admission price has gone up pretty significantly in the past decade. For most large anime conventions, expect the ticket price to be between $80-$100. Smaller events will typically charge somewhere around $40-$60.
Ticketed Events Some events during Anime Expo may also require a ticket, in addition to a badge. You can buy your tickets online ahead of time or you can purchase them onsite at the Ticketing Booth, based on availability.
Children under 13 must be with an adult at all times.
You can register online, or at the convention. One day only: $40. Online registration benefits: Make sure you have a badge before we run out.
Attendees age 13 years old and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 for the duration of their time at the event. Child badges can be purchased with a 4-day or 1-day general attendee badge.
No Real Weapons Are Allowed at an Event. Items that may otherwise be legal for you to own or carry are not welcome at any Event if they violate this Prop / Replica Weapons Policy.

The single day price for children is the same as for adults, there is no discount for single day registration for children. Children under 7 are admitted free with the purchase of an adult registration. Children under 7 do not need to buy a badge or register. Children under 13 must be with an adult at all times.
Yes. Children from 7 to 12 can get a weekend badge for $10 off the price for adults, but children under 13 must be accompanied by a supervisory adult who also purchases a badge at the full adult weekend price (max 2 children per adult).
Attending is a privilege, and badges can be revoked without refund for violation of the rules at any time by convention staff.
Once per year around the first week of July. This year it will be held from July 3-5. Often you might hear people lighting off fireworks nearby because of the 4th of July. (Note: fireworks are prohibited at the hotel because the airport is nearby.)

The Anime Convention is the perfect size where most of the events are pretty easy to get into, with lines rarely more than an hour long.
Anime Midwest 2021 is a family-friendly anime convention in Rosemont, Illinois. A three day weekend that starts in the morning and lasts until 2 am on Friday and Saturday, and until 5 pm on Sunday.
The anime convention also has its very own maid cafe with a Japanese style karaoke.

Yes, under the right conditions. We provide ONE free badge per panel. This must be assigned to one of the panelists, not to a friend, and you must fill out the form online in advance. We do not welcome low-quality panel submissions that are only submitted to get a free badge.
