I know sometimes society trys to tell you anime and cartoons are only for kids but that is incorrect. Im 38 and still watch anime and cartoons and not ashamed of it.

Personally I went off anime. I enjoyed some films as a teenager. Nowadays I find it too loud both audibly and visually. It's too over the top for my tastes these days.

My grandmother still likes old Popeye and Betty Boop cartoons so I see no problem continuing to enjoy anime. I am more of a manga reader these days but still enjoy anime when I get the chance to watch. I also still find Beavis and Butthead as well as King of the Hill side tearing funny.

A lot of anime is *not* made for kids. They're just as violent and gory and full of adult situations as R-rated Hollywood live action movies. Maybe even more so. And there are cultural differences, in Japan nudity is really not a big deal.

I was going to mention the fact that adults make the animations. Due to that I don't get how people think all animation is just for kids. Who's going to spend years practicing and studying to make cartoons that they don't even like and aren't proud of?
