After being institutionalized in a mental hospital, Korean teen Su-mi (Yum Jung-ah) reunites with her beloved sister, Su-yeon (Im Soo-jung), and they return to live at their country home. The girls' widower father (Moon Geun-young) has remarried, and the siblings are immediately resentful of his new wife, Eun-joo (Kim Kap-soo). The ghost of the younger sister Soo-yeon exists in this movie as BOTH a vengeful spirit that haunts the house, and as a mental projection of Soo-mi's to mask her emotional pain from the tragedy.
The movie ends with Su-mi sent back to the institute but having made some peace with her sister's demise. The ending also reveals a ghost has been haunting the house - Su-yeon. She traps her stepmother in a room and proceeds to kill her offscreen.
