“However, if you are in a noisy place or in a meeting, voice control is not efficient or socially appropriate. This is where silent speech comes into place.” SpeeChin’s neck-mounted infrared camera captures the movement of the chin from belo

The point of A Silent Voice isn't to make you sad at all, but to have you experience the human condition. To experience life, joy, death, conflict, emotions, and more. And that there is always hope that exists if you can find it.

Of course it should be noted that it has been argued that there are admirable qualities to this approach that are absent from guilt-based cultures (such as the US and the larger West). Unfortunately, the creator – Yoshitoki Ōima, had made a total of 7 volumes in his original manga series. All of which have been adapted to make the movie. Currently, there is no source to continue the story in a sequel. The story actually had reached its end in the movie.
Because the movie deals with mature and disturbing themes like bullying, suicide and atonement, it isn't recommended for children under 14 years.
Some brief scenes involving things such as language, smoking, and some more inappropriate scenes. However, the language is more like a sister and brother bantering than anything overly mature. Though I am sure a even a younger kid than 12 could watch it.
Your Name is a more enjoyable, completed, and entertaining movie, but A Silent Voice is a more thought provoking movie.
Contemporary reviews of A Silent Voice praised its “romantic” merits, contorting its subtleties into a predetermined narrative while glossing over the fact that Shoya never actually responds to or even acknowledges Shouko's affections.
17 Year Old17 Year Old Shoya has narrowed, beady eyes of a dark grayish-brown color, with thick eyebrows. This gives him a mournful, tragic facial appearance. His straight short hair is jet black, always looking wind tossed and uncombed, that forms into many tiny spikes all over his head.
Yuzuru is a rather short girl for her age with a small build and fair skin. She wears her black hair in a short cut of which the longest part of her ends at the nape of her neck, and then goes back up to the front locks that end on the bridge of the nose.
After transferring into a new school, a deaf girl, Shouko Nishimiya, is bullied by the popular Shouya Ishida. As Shouya continues to bully Shouko, the class turns its back on him. Forget you ever heard of this film. Go read the manga. No, seriously: skip…this…movie. It’s an overwhelmingly minority opinion, I know, but A Silent Voice is a slapdash, choppy, depthless summary of a remarkable, heartrending story of the despairing consequences from the most basic of our childhood stupidities: our ignorance of empathy.
Shouya Ishida starts bullying the new girl in class, Shouko Nishimiya, because she is deaf. But as the teasing continues, the rest of the class starts to turn on Shouya for his lack of compassion. When they leave elementary school, Shouko and Shouya do not speak to each other again...

What sets him apart from the other slackers in his town is an involuntary time travel ability that allows him to jump back several seconds in time in order to prevent accidents and even deaths. As incidents around town begin reminding Satoru of a childhood trauma he'd sooner forget, he finally begins to question what caused his ability to surface and whether or not it's powerful enough to change the past.
But when Mitsuha makes a wish to leave her mountain town and for the bustling city of Tokyo, they become connected in a bizarre way.
Over all they are both very cute but A Silent Voice is more realistic than your name so it just depends on your preference.
I recommend both your name and A Silent voice and Your Lie in April if you like any of them since they are all fairly similar to each other. . Wonderxfull says... If you liked 'your name.' or 'A Silent Voice' you may like the other because they are both stories that will leave you with a smile.
Movie only here.. I've seen a couple of people in discussion threads being confused as to why Shoko likes (suki) Ishida. I don't know what the prevailing opinion is, and I'm interested to hear what you think. Personally, I just had the pet theory that she had a crush on him even as a kid, which made her accept all the horrible mistreatment.
first, I advance that my way of writing may sound strange, I only know the basics of the language, but come on.
Honestly never experienced anything that touched me as much as this film. I'd probably prefer a story without any special powers, High tech, mystic type stuff. I'd appreciate if anyone can help.
this studio is my favorite anime, its trait is so unique and recognizable, just like a studio ghibli.
