Realist Hero isn't nearly as good as Invaders, either in general or specifically when it comes to the harem elements, but its romances are instructive nonetheless. In contrast to the aforementioned series, this one is clearly taking the polygamy route.
Ultimately, How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom is a pleasant enough watch even if it all ends up feeling a bit easy and pointless. The visuals are pleasing and the opening song is entertaining enough. Most of the characters are either pleasant or the usual kind of tropes you would expect.

The animation, soundtracks and characters are all really excellent. I especially enjoyed seeing the progression of the main protagonist as he seems to act similar to how you or I would should we be suddenly dropped in another world and made a head of state of a fantasy kingdom. O, Hero! When Kazuya Souma is unexpectedly transported to another world, he knows the people expect a hero.
The overarching story and world have a lot of potential. I really appreciate the real consequences of political missteps instead of just making up once you've defeated an enemy.

What’s more interesting is that our main character, Kazuma, who was nothing more than an average guy, was put in a tough situation where he had to rule a kingdom. To my surprise, he was a good leader that knows what he was doing for the better future of the nation. He even came up with a solution to solve the food shortage right after he was succeeded to the throne.
Under certain circumstances, he was chosen as the new king of a kingdom named Elfrieden, replacing king Albert. He was told that he will be engaged to the princess, Liscia. Left with no choice, Kazuma had to bear the future of Elfrieden as the new king. At first glance, you might find Genjitsu as another generic isekai anime, which is mostly true, but once you have watched enough of it, you will find yourself enjoying it more than you should have, at least that’s the case for me.
After the death of his grandfather, 19-year-old Kazuya Souma—an aspiring civil servant—is left all alone with no one to call family. Out of the blue, he is transported to the Elfrieden Kingdom, a small ailing country in another world, to be a "hero." An ongoing war with the demon army has put the entire world in peril, and Kazuya was summoned to aid in the conflict as an offering from Elfrieden to its allies.
Dissatisfied with being used as tribute, Kazuya decides to help the kingdom revamp its declining economy —not by way of adventuring or war, but through administrative reform. Abruptly declared the King of Elfrieden and betrothed to the princess, the "Realist Hero" Kazuya sets out to assemble a group of talented citizens who will assist him in his bureaucratic battles to get the kingdom back on its feet.
Genjitsu gets 9 fairies out of 10.
A story about an Otherworlder (Kazuya Souma) who got Isekai-ed to not just play the role of the hero, but instead, to be the next king in a kingdom where it's falling apart at the seams against all odds of threats coming both left and right. It's not just the usual typical trope of the Demon Lord's army's uprising, but also internal problems that leaves a kingdom incapable of supporting itself. With some words of wisdom from Kazuya's grandmother that "A man needs to make a family and never fail to protect it no matter what.", he is summoned into the fantasy world as a hero first to help solve a crisis. But here's the twist: the humanities student Kazuya's no OP character, but he has his knowledge of realism and machiavellianism at his disposal to make whatever calls he desires as the roles are consequently handed down to him to help a kingdom come out of its deadly course, from a hero to a realist king. It's very similar to Civilization if you've played the game before.
