I believe its intentionally a secret so that users dont know at what point they will "rank-up". To avoid people making unnecessary posts/spam to achieve their next rank when they know how close they are. I could however be wrong but it would be listed somewhere if it was intended to be publically known, which it is not.

There is New Member, Member, Active Member and Well-Known Member. From my experience going from New Member to Well-Known Member, my best guess is that these have something to do with the amount of times your forum posts have been liked. So just spamming 100 comments in a thread probably won't help you.
