Broadcast Information Ultramarine Magmell is a Japanese action and fantasy anime series written by Dainenbyo based on the manga series Gunjou no Magmel. It was released onto Netflix October 10, 2019. The series also goes by the name Magmel of the Sea Blue in some international countries.
Doesn't stand out in a good way or bad way. Gunjou no Magmel will be remembered as the story that went nowhere. An anime with the potential to be interesting and engaging is ignored in favor of bogging down all the airtime with endless filler. Thanks for wasting my time.
Zero has seems to have romantic feelings for Inyo. It is unclear whether Inyo reciprocates or even is aware of her feelings. Zero works as ground support for Inyo, using her Lacht power to follow him around in the form of a drone that can lift, observe, attack and carry things, even Inyo himself.
The English script varies some but not to a problematic degree. Maybe the biggest plus about Ultramarine Magmell is that it tells an intact story. The ending leaves it wide open for further adventurers, but at least the series stops on a definitive breaking point, one that also wraps up its one significant plotline.

Inyo. Zero was saved as a child by Inyo and now she works as his assistant. The two are quite close and even live together.
ShuinShuin has whiteish grey hair, and was revealed in the episode 1 of "Ultramarine Magmell" to have gray eyes similar to his hair. He is always seen in the anime to wear a bronze/brown hat, similar to Inyou's, and a cape-like coat that is the same colour as his hat.
Toto was the first and only pet Inyo ever owned. Some say he is a cat like creature, but as you see in the show it is more of a werewolf like being.
Our Take: Conceptually, Ultramarine Magmell is pretty strong. Title-wise, it's a mouthful and two handfuls (go ahead and try to say it three times fast, Dr. Seuss). Visually, it adheres to typical anime stereotypes: Lots of slo-mo, giant-eyed characters who all look like they're 12 years old, hyperbole up the wazoo.

From human perspective, it lies before the Border Waters and the area controlled by the Gatekeeper, it is technically not part of the Dark Continent. Compared to the latter, it is believed to be a much safer zone, which is why the V6 passed it off as the actual Dark Continent for the public at large.
